My dear Debastuti,

What a warm and lovely take on the prologue in particular, and on the post as a whole! Thanks a million! As I wrote to Ria above - she too loved that part specially - I took extra pains over that segment, and I am delighted when someone like you or Ria really finds it to be special .

I do wish Rajat could read it, it would cheer him up no end.

My comments are in blue.

Wonderful analysis Aunty! The prologue part... ufff!! I am sure it is the bestest award that RT could ever get for his dedication and hard work. 😳

And the rest of the post had everything from deep visionary analysis to humour... Loved it... Especially that Hridy wala part! 🤣

MY TAKE:

I actually never guessed that they will finish the whole reveal drama in a single episode and that too without much exaggerated drama. I was hoping for lot of drama, complicated plots etc before this important incident... say, Chandra will meet Chaya in a circumstance, she will join hand with him to work as spy and Chandra will know about Piplivan's queen Moora, but not about his truth, then somehow he will get to know from his foster parents that he is not their kid, then story will go on with Chandra coming closer to the truth in his each step... etc etc etc.. 😆 But Yeah, they have to start the love-story first so it's okay to rush this part.

Dear, the TRPs are not good and they need to be boosted at the earliest. So such complicated detailed plots have to be avoided; the general public, which seems to revel in Naagin 2 and Brahmarakshas, would not understand them anyway!

I have the same question: what was the assignment that Chanakya had to give to Chandra risking his life by entering inside the den of lions- again? It cannot be to know how much Nand loves his daughter; and Chanakya is getting regular information about the war tactics from his spies, so there must be any very delicate information that can be fetched only by Chandra himself; what can be that? I know that Cvs did not get any time to think about that pivotal assignment. 😆 And Chandra did fail again as spy 😔 😛

I want to know who came up with the idea of that open-air jail! A normal prison could work much better and look believable too I think. This one looks like a picnic spot, and among the hundreds and thousands of prisoners of Nand (I suppose), only the people related to Chandra are used to be kept here. 😆

Very true. It is a nutty idea. Mura was in a regular prison earlier, and I do not know why she ended up here.

There was a clear contrast in the conversation of two mothers... for one the safety of her child comes first, and the other wants her son to be the voice of justice. 😃 I loved your take on this. 😳

Chandra entered into the prison so smoothly, and heard everything standing in front of all, but they did not see him for once... looked something odd to me. That's why I am telling a normal prison would be better. 😛

Chandra's intolerable rage and outburst of emotion after knowing the truth is very much understandable... Though it looked foolish to me to disclose himself this way and to threaten the princess directly taking so much risk. Very much heroic, though... In rage Chandra becomes uncontrollable like a tornado. He cares for no one, and just wipes out everything which comes on his path! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am somehow confused about his relation and thoughts with Nandni. I used to think he has only annoyance with mixture of plain anger to her but... His direct enmity is with Nand, why he consider Nandni as his biggest enemy? Only as she had revealed his identity during the swayamvar(he thinks so)? But it was expected from her place. And how would he know how much Nandini is involved in Nand's plan of arresting his foster parents? This hate and enmity with Nandini looks forceful to me. 😔

The best and most psychologically convincing explanation for this is the one given by Sandhya on page 2 above. It goes as follows:

Despite all Chandra's aloofness in the Gurukul and his being his teacher's pet, the 'Charvahe ka beta' taunts of Malayaketu must have pricked him. He might have chosen to ignore considering it to be his unfortunate truth that he can overcome with his abilities. But that he was none lesser than the oafketu or the RajNandini and that he had to be separated from his parents, live a fatherless life, abused by the man he thought was his father, with a mother who ought to have been a queen, chained for years waiting for his return and revenge, were all too many revelations and very strong ones too.

What he suffered, how much he had missed in life. Hence his anger is multifold at Nand and more at his putri who enjoyed all the splendor and care at his expense. No wonder his first outburst of anger is against Nandini, whose birthday was celebrated with such grandeur, and coins were issued in whose name, who was pampered and cared for, while he, who was similar born suffered because of her father.

The whole scene was very significant for the developmt of the love-story may be, but both Nandni and Shweta disappointed me. 😆

Chandra's gymming session, his breakdown, and Helena's and Acharya's support in his immense despair was done very well. Loved the way Chanakya held Chandra's arm when Helena covered him and how they took him inside. Both of them are like pillars to CGM. The emotional outburst was heart-wrenching, and his dialogues were touchy too... Especially the last one- terrific! 👏

The new truth of his identity has opened a new dimension for Chandra. Till date he was in a mission to fulfill his duty towards his motherland, but now he feels this is the one and only motto of his being alive, his destiny has chosen him to eradicate Nand dynasty... And this strong feelings, the tormenting grudge in his heart is now his greatest power. Before this he was fighting for his motherland, and now he will fight for his mother... In a point they merge with each other... The imprisoned Moora with chains in feet becomes the living symbol of his motherland, who is being tortured, exploited and insulted daily by the corrupted kings like Nand! This way, with the discovery of his new identity, Chandra rediscovers himself, and his ultimate goal...

Beautifully put!

BTW, how do Nand know about Chanakya and Chandra's location to send the letter? 😲 I thought Nand is searching Chandra who is doing everything hidden, and will kill him just the moment he can locate him. I did not expect him to maintain war-ethics so decently, rather thought he is vicious enough to send assassins to put fire in Chandra's camp in midnight to get rid off him. 😆

Not just that your idea about what Nand is likely to do is spot on. The other objection, which I forgot to include in the post, is even more important. After Nand raising all this hue and cry about the need to locate Chandra at once, it turns out that not only does Nandini somehow know where his camp is, but Nand too knows it, since, as you have pointed out, he sends him that message at his camp.

It is a major bloomer.😲

I love seeing Chandra with Durdhara, as she is the only place where he can forget all his worries and can laugh out freely. They married too early. 😆 (Malayketu could not even managed to sit as bridegroom for a single time, and Chandra married two time consecutively one by one. Bad progress, Malay! 😆 ) Chandra did not want to marry Durdhara as he does not want to exploit his friendship for any other purpose... Chandra does care for Durdhara and her emotions, he knows he will never be able to fulfill Durdhara's expectations... But at the end of the day due to Durdhara's insistence he agrees with a lot of conditions. He knows that Durdhara will bind him back. She is not a daredevil like Helena who has the strength to complement him under any circumstance; rather like a very simple lady she has simplest wants from her life, and those will try to bind Chandra back from the dangerous and risky lifestyle he maintains. So, maybe he clearly put a stop in front of those expectations, for sake of both him and Durdhara...

Now this, my dear, is an interesting point that had not occurred to me. It is very plausible.👏 Let me also tell you that you are one of the few people I have come across here who know how to spell "complement" correctly. Most folk write it as "compliment".

No comment on Nandini's attitude to Moora. Very cheap and disgusting! 🤢 Now Nandini is full on in super sleuth mode, with covering her face with invisible cloak and going to attend Chandra's marriage without any invitation.😆😆 God knows what impact did this scene leave. Yesterday I thought she will be caught but today she was again back with her another 'pakamo' 😆

Today, after a lot of running, chasing and skipping in suhaag raat, at last 3rd war has started. Let's see what's going to happen. Is the final battle going to finish so soon? 😡

P.S: I am not liking the fact they are showing that Maurya dynasty existed before CGM and he is just a heir of a great king. I am not complaining about History, but I would be happier if they showed Chandragupta to found Mauryan dynasty after the name of his mother Moora. Moora has a pivotal influence over this story, so it could be very relevant if they would show this. SuryaGupta might exist as a small king, but Chandra could name himself as Maurya- the son of Moora!... It had always been a beautiful concept that the first and greatest emperor had founded his dynasty after the name of his mother, and not his father. A wonderful example of the status of women in ancient India...

In this context, you might be interested in what I wrote above to Alakh, I do not believe that the real Chanakya coined the dynasty name. The peacock symbol shown here is not meant to be a symbol of royalty. It is the emblem of the Maurya royal family, like the fleur de lis for the Bourbon kings of France.

There are many versions of Chandragupta's origins, as also of that of the name of his dynasty. The one you have cited (that Mauryas were probably care takers of peacocks and of a lower class) is only one . The one chosen by the CVs for this show is taken from the Buddhist chronicles, which make out that Suryagupta Maurya was related to the Sakya clan of Kapilavastu, and thus to the Lord Buddha.

The one I like the best is that he was a perfectly ordinary little boy, who eventually named his dynasty after his mother Mura. Muraayaaha apatyam pumaan, Mauryaha A son born of Mura is a Maurya, I loved the idea that such a magnificent emperor would adopt his mother's name for the dynasty he founded, and not his father's.

Aunty, Shani started last Monday only. New episodes again from tomorrow.

I must confess , I like such dramatic sound and music effects. What drew me in was Lord Shani himself, slowest Planet, how he is alone and impartial. Someone who teaches life lessons, purifies the soul , someone who is emotional and lives for justice., he represents people who are underprivileged, weak, and punishes who do not do their duty. . He who defines karmic lines and karmic debt . I also like him because he is scary and powerful I think the show will make me understand him better. I like such fictional characters, people, Gods , etc 😆

I like the young boy playing Shani . There is something about him.

I'm looking forward to moral lessons from the show.

Oh, I liked him as well. In fact he was the only person I liked.

You have not answered my question. I take it the answer is a qualified yes? OK, I will start again from tomorrow. But my dear, it began 2 weeks ago. I watched the first week and skipped the next. So this will be the 3rd week,

So true, people generally don't see this, but where money comes from is very important. Black money, money taken from the poor, money earned by wrong means leads to karmic debt and makes one liable. Even if unknowingly. Think about how many curses people must have given Nand when their hard earned money they need so badly is taken from them.

Chandra only will defeat evil like a judge gives justice by giving death sentence to murderer for his crimes

Like Krishna did in Mahabharat to Kauravas

What error did duryodhanas mother, bhishma, vidur, dhronacharya, karan etc do

Did they humiliate draupadi or try to kill pandavas nooo

Yet they all died in Mahabharat because they are in wrong side

Nandini is lucky she did not get killed or sit in prison getting whipped like Mura

True, she will only have to marry him. Her torment will be on a very low level compared to Mura's fate.

Indeed every by stander who stands and watches injustice is responsible in bit for that crime because if that person raises voice that crime or injustice may not happen. If all close eyes to crime, injustice etc than world will become a war field

It's like running away from your moral duties as a human being.

Excellent post as usual Shyamala.👏...As you have written a lot about these episodes I want to say one thing...I like Helena very much but didn't like the way she behaved with Misthi before her first night...That was really wrong on her part...I fear that she might turn out to be another Rukaiya begum...Any way She is still better than Nandini who I don't like too much ..atleast not yet...

JA's trp fell because the show later on became somewhat Jodha oriented...I hope Ekta has learned something from it.

Yes I like it. Shani is a very emotional God and he is supposed to be scary. He has destroyed many with just his stare. If people, demons and Gods aren't scared of him they won't be afraid of doing bad deeds because he is the one maintain the balance of karmas. He doesn't leave without giving you learning. In astrology, whichever house he sits in shows where u have karmic debt and soul learning in this life. If he is good, he can bless and take people to heights.

He is dark, but he emits blue light . Look carefully the costume he is wearing is actually blue.
