20th Jan – Written Update

Anisa tells her mom that she has been unable to raise the remaining money, when her mom tells her that the 50,000Rs bill has been settled in full. Anisa is left baffled; the hospital staff are unable to disclose the details; and so she assumes it must have been Rahul, and heads to the office to thank him.

Marlyani taunts Arjun (re: Anisa's appointment – promotion – etc); she also tells him that Anisa had earlier requested an advanced salary, and suspects that she must have taken the money for herself/needs. Arjun's PA comes in and tells them that Anisa has arrived; Marlyani tells Arjun that she will handle her and leaves.

As Anisa heads to meet Rahul, Marlyani stops her and accuses her of theft/dismisses her.

G and P have both seen the showdown; and question Anisa of her actions. She explains that she didn't settle the bill herself but assumed Rahul had, and so heads to see Rahul to confirm her assumption. Rahul's response is in the negative – in fact just before Anisa enters, Rahul was arguing with the finance department for a top-up to his weekly allowance! 😆

Marlyani tells G that all has gone according to plan and that she needs her to continue acting as Anisa's friend.😲 (I knew it was too good to be true!). Marlyani is seeking revenge/pay-back for her insult (ie. Anisa promoted without her knowledge/kept on work after the jail fiasco 😕).

Rahul and Arjun are discussing Anisa and the missing money, when Marlyani interrupts them – stating that she has kicked Anisa out. Arjun and Marlyani argue and as he leaves the office Marlyani hands Rahul an envelope of money. She reminds him that he doesn't need to ask anyone for money, she is always there to see to his every need.

Arjun asks Anisa about the missing-money incident, and Anisa mistakes his question as a doubt on his part. Anisa stops a rickshaw and leaves. Arjun is about to follow her in his car, when Rahul stops/decides to join him. As Arjun is about to put the car in gear, he notices a wad of money in Rahul's pocket. Arjun pulls it out and questions Rahul about it. Rahul explains that Marlyani had given it to him, whilst Arjun notices the stains on the notes; and recalls how he had spilled coffee on the money sent to Marlyani. He takes the money from Rahul on the pretence of need (re: meeting/etc) and tells him that they will see Anisa later; Rahul leaves.
