900 years or so then? That is a massive blunder, why would they over look that. Do they want to present a drama or an exploration of such an important figure? I'm confused.😕

I am not denying the Persian relation. Infact there was a Persian rakshita to Bindusara who bore him a son; unlike what's shown she wasn't named Noor or was of royal birth!
Next the language and names that they use is of Islamic descent. Urdu as a language found its birth in India after 13th century A.D.; also Persian names are more like Apama, Xerseus..etc. At that time Persia had a huge influence of Grecian culture!!

So why did they not go for authenticity? I'm surprised to even hear the name Justin there. I'm no historian. I wonder if the writer's ever thought that if we give a really good, as close as possible, historical drama then we would get critical acclaim and applause or not? I'm now wondering if I am ever going to see the chaand ashoka I've heard about or not.

i was just saying that persians were in India, and not muslims;
authenticity ki toh baat mat karna, the show started off on fiction, its like watching shakuntala bharat story, I really hope the PH gets their act together, varna i will have to say bye to the show!

I might have to do something similar. the saving grace is the pace. I might not have to wait for ages elder ashok to come very quick.
