All Facts and Truth about Ashoka and his family-
Indeed Helena did exist though this name is hypothetically given and we don't know the actual name of the Greek princess who married Chandragupta. It's a pure fact that Selecus married his daughter to Chandragupta but Greeks due to shame and fear of anger of Greek People did not write about her name in Greek Chronicles. Indian Chronicles are of no use. They did not mention even the rebellions against Alexander which happened in North-West. Only Greek sources mention it. So those who are arguing Selecus had never any daughter called Helen is ahmm...yeah true but it doesn't mean he did not marry his daughter to chandu. It's that they did not mention her name in their sources. Perhaps we could find more about her if INDICA of Megasthenes was not destroyed. Megasthenes felt very proud of himself for having visited Sandrocottus that's our own Chandragupta Maurya.
No one know who Durdhara was. She may or may not have been Dhanananda's daughter. It is possible she was a princess of Vahik Pradesh as she was his Empress Consort and Chandragupta first conquered North Western Provinces. So it can be possible that he married Durdhara there. Who knows? No one.
Ashoka was not a favorite son of Bindusara but he knew that Ashoka was competent. His empire remained intact due to brilliancy of his competent son. Sushima was crown prince but incompetency never gains anything. Ashoka won fair and square. Nothing is wrong in love and war.
Ashoka's favorite queen- Well we can't say surely that if she was Devi or Karuwaki. Buddhist chronicles glorify Devi like goddess herself. They say she was his favorite queen. It can be possible but we should notice that Devi was a Buddhist and chronicles may have been biased in mentioning her. Still again we can't say she was not his favorite queen. Karuwaki is mentioned in his edict so scholars believed she was favorite and her son tivala was crown prince. Devi is called Mahadevi and Karuwaki is called Dwitiya Devi means karuwaki's position was secondary to Devi both in rank and status. So lets leave the matter and think both of them as favorite.
Ashoka was very high tempered man and he struggled with it throughout his life. He wanted to be a good king and he tried his best for it. That's another matter that is pacifism led to weakening of Mauryan Empire.
Ashoka married many times and had many concubines. Karuwaki was a concubine in beginning. She was brought from Kalinga.
Justin if existed would have been younger than Ashoka. I m saying maybe. Bindusara was 16 or 17 when Helen married Chandragupta so justin would have been very small when Bindusara was coronated. We have no evidence of any Justin in history. In fact even if Chandragupta had a son with Helen why would he name his son Justin when his father is Indian. That's nonsense. Selecus never interfered in Chandragupta's succession question. He did not care at all. Ha...He had many important things to do than doing Kitchen Politics. Lol...
PLEASE DON'T BELIEVE WIKIPEDIA. THAT'S A RUBBISH SOURCE TO KNOW TRUE HISTORY.
