I agree to disagree but the way you said "shut up" and "have had more opportunities" is just a fool's thing to say! She is the most celebrated non-celebrity chef in India, awarded by the PM, 10M + subscribers. It's not a piece of cake to achieve all this in less than a decade.
And coming to paid to participate, imagine you are working in a company, and they fire you for no reason even though you read and followed all of the T&C, won't you voice your thoughts and opinions on the company and suggest other people not to join it?
For the sake of TRP, why wouldn't you just name the show "Cooking with Celebs", when you label it as MasterChef, you mean MasterChef. Find me a season where a non-deserving winner was given the title of MasterChef. Even Indian Idol is doing good on reality this year, it's the least we expect with MasterChef.
Disagreeing is fine, we’re all entitled to our opinion.
I’m not undermining her achievements in any way, I was in fact surprised to see her reach.
All I’ve said is that in reality shows it’s very common for favouritism, and we’ve seen it on almost every reality show. Even if we talk about Masterchef India, if memory serves me right season 2 and 5 have in my opinion had undeserving winners. I’ve been on the forums for long and remember a lot of people thought similarly. Even if non deserving don’t win, they do go quite far.
Also, I beg to differ about Indian Idol this year, but wouldn’t talk about that on the masterchef forum.
I understand what you’re trying to say, but if you’re (Kabita) in a public platform, you will have some supporters and some who won’t support you. And the higher you are, the harder the fall. I do wish Kabita the best, but I think it’s best she doesn’t talk bad about the show.
