The IQBAL of Nagesh Kukunoor's film of the same name has come of age. With some excellent performances in films like DOR, APNA SAPNA MONEY MONEY and the recent success, DIL DOSTI ETC., Shreyas has proved that IQBAL was not a flash in the pan.

The only thing lacking in Shreyas's arsenal was a real big project and it now appears that it is finally here in the form of OM SHANTI OM. In his upcoming 'Diwali' extravaganza, Shreyas plays Shah Rukh's best buddy and confidante, 'Pappu Master'. His crackling chemistry with King Khan has to be seen to be believed.

In one of the hilarious scenes (set in the 70's) from the upcoming movie, SRK (playing a junior artist, aspiring to become a superstar), tells him that his mother (Kirron Kher) says that he is slated to become a big star. Pat comes the repartee from Shreyas, 'Keshto ki maa ne bhi usse yahi kaha hoga', in an obvious reference to Keshto Mukherjee, the perpetually drunk (on screen), yet beloved Bollywood comedian of the 70's and 80's!

Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are everywhere for promotion of their movie Om Shanti Om. It was no different affair at MTV Lycra Style Awards.

Both the lead stars came dressed in Om Shanti Om themed clothes and yes they were big hit at the award show. Deepika looked charming as ever.

Shah Rukh Khan: An Style Icon

Mumbai, Oct 26 (IANS) Superstar Shah Rukh Khan received the Maha Style Icon award at the star studded MTV Lycra Style Awards 2007 here Thursday night.

Shah Rukh, attired in black trousers, shirt and light brown coat, received the award at the Andheri Sports Complex.

"I am honoured to receive the award," said Shah Rukh, waving to enthusiastic crowds.

The glittering evening hosted by MTV VJs Sagarika, Cyrus Broacha and Cyrus Sahukar saw the Most Stylish Film Award going to "Dhoom 2".

The same movie gave Aishwarya and Hrithik Roshan the Most Stylish Female and Male awards respectively. The pair also bagged the viewers' choice Most Stylish Couple (on-screen) award.

Hrithik also walked away with the Most Stylish Body and New Look awards.

Choreographed by Shiamak Davar, "Crazy kiya re..." from "Dhoom 2" was named Most Stylish Song of the year.

The return of actor turned parliamentarian, Govinda, to filmdom gave him the Most Stylish Comeback award.

While Atif Aslam got the Most Stylish Person in Music Award, Anita Adajania Shroff received the Most Stylish Bollywood Designer award.

The awardees were selected by a panel of judges that included Farah Khan, Neha Dhupia, Raghavendra Rathore, Ramona Narang, Sheetal Malhar, Rohit Bal, Prahlad Kakkar, Manoviraj Khosla, Ambika Pillai, Narendra Kumar Ahmed and Mickey Contractor.

The high- voltage event was marked by electric performances by Shreyas Talpade and Atif Aslam.
