S R K Quits Joker!!

Shah Rukh Khan, the uncrowned King of bollywood, has decided to quit Shirish Kunder's ambitious upcoming project ' Joker' due to differences over the final draft of the script of the film. This is a futuristic, sci-fi action film with loads of visual effects and Shah Rukh Khan was expected to play the character of a superhero in it. Shah Rukh was not satisfied with the script and wanted it to be revised, but Shirish Kunder did not agree to that and the two had a huge showdown, leading Shah Rukh to quit the film. Now, Akshay Kumar is expected to play the role of Badshah Khan.

As a source reveals, ' Shah Rukh had a problem with the final draft of the film and asked Shirish to re-work it. However, Shirish is extremely headstrong and took offence. He then told people that he would not re-work the script, saying he could get any actor to star in his film. Naturally, S R K was none too pleased. This led to a huge showdown at SRK's bungalow. After which Shah Rukh said he was not interested in the project any longer. We now hear that Shirish has approached Akshay Kumar.'

Sources say that Shirish Kunder is hell bent on doing the project as scheduled and is not willing to delay the project due to Shah Rukh's denial. The film will now be made by Shirish Kunder Film Company with the strong financial support of a corporate house. The film is expected to go on the floors by the end of this year.

Though Akshay Kumar has a very busy schedule and there are no spare dates but given the prestigious nature of the project, he is expected to do some date jugglery this year for Kunder's Joker. In principle, Akki has already said yes to Kunder and now formalities are being worked out by the two in this regard. Akki suits the role of a superhero perfectly with his reputation for mastery in martial art and action sequences. At present, Akshay Kumar is shooting for Yash Raj Films' Tashan in the desert district of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan for some important sequences. Aditya Chopra has designed a special look for Akki in this film.

It may be recalled that at the initial stages, Shah Rukh Khan was very excited about Shirish Kunder's ' Joker' and had extended full support to the filmmaker. Shah Rukh Khan's close friendship with Farah Khan was also responsible for it. As Farah is directing Shah Rukh's home production ' Om Shanti Om', which is said to have been sold for a whopping price.

Hm…..hm……seems Shah Rukh has finally realized that his physique does not suit for a superhero role, no??...... in any case, badshah would have made himself a butt of jokes…… in Joker, of course!! ……hey Kunder…..tell us the truth…what was your real intention for the King Khan by casting him in a superhero role??.....Om Shanti Om…..!!
