After the best in the city's food and nightlife categories were honoured at the Times Food and Nightlife Awards 2014, the guests rushed to the scrumptious feast. Anuj Gurwara was the emcee for the night, and he kept cracking up the guests with his running commentary during the awards and some not-so-subtle digs at the current political scenario.

Rajeev Khandelwal told us, "I was thinking that there are a lot of similarities between the film industry and the food industry. People ask them what's being cooked and people ask us what's cooking. I hope these amazing places in Jaipur keep dishing out the good stuff, because the food of this city is incomparable."

That is why the winners are divided into 'fine dining' and 'casual dining' restaurants, where 'fine dining' defines those restaurants where an average meal for a couple without alcohol comes to '1,200 or above, and below that price point is 'casual dining'. We award both categories separately to encourage them to grow. The guests couldn't agree more. Businessman Navin Tripathi said, "This was a well organized evening, offering a different experience for Jaipur people." Added Rekha Khaitan, "There was not a single moment that I did not enjoy, be it Anuj's jokes, his sarcasm or his singing. And the food was just fabulous."
