About fanfics being better written with single pov, you could be right. I’m not saying books aren’t either - just that they leave me dissatisfied especially in a romance when I want to live inside both characters’ heads. That being said, I have loved a few single PoV romances. Cara Bastone writes them very well. Have you read this new Indie author called Kristin B. Cole. I really enjoyed The Scientist by her! I believe it’s free on Kindle (at least it used to be)

Idk tbh smiley36 I used to read this trope obsessively when I was in school, now it's been years since I read one, and I don't even feel the urge to search for them anymore. I guess I grew out of it? Idk 😅 One of my favourites was definitely The Internal Devices by Cassandra Clare. Have you read it? Both the MLs were wonderful and it actually wrenched my heart apart every time I realised that choosing one of them would mean the other one getting hurt 💔😢

I've never heard of that author or that book, and my amazon isn't showing search results either. What's the genre?

@bold: No I haven't read this one. But if it's a triangle then that's not surprising, I would have avoided it like plague smiley36

It's this one. It's romance. Brought it up cos its single PoV but the MMC is awesome.

This is the blurb:

When an outgoing musical maven meets the enigmatic neuroscientist next door, will their worlds clash in a dramatic showdown of art versus science, or will they discover that love is the ultimate experiment worth conducting?

When celebrated Broadway composer Hadley Olivier’s best friend receives a life-threatening diagnosis, Hadley says goodbye to her beloved home in NYC and sets off to the West Coast to endure a life of sunny skies and an inexplicable obsession with quinoa. Her new life in California comes complete with old friends, a potentially disastrous career change, and a gorgeous but reticent new neighbor, Dr. Alexsander “Lex” Strovinski, whose PhD might actually be in scowling with a minor in silent treatments.

As a world-renowned neurobiologist, Lex has dedicated his life to the single-minded pursuit of scientific breakthroughs, avoiding distractions at all costs. But now, a relentlessly chirpy new neighbor with an emerald green gaze seems intent on sabotaging his focus.

As Hadley and Lex find themselves repeatedly thrown together, what begins as one-sided banter eventually gives way to a profound heart-to-heart connection. But when Hadley’s loved one takes a turn for the worse and Lex is offered a once in a lifetime opportunity overseas, will their newfound connection unravel? Or will they discover that when it comes to opposites attracting, some bonds can never be broken?

I got a bunch of recs from them, have to list them all out smiley36

But I have these ready to read for now:

1. We could be so good - Cat Sebastian

2. The Queer Principles of Kit Webb - Cat Sebastian

3. Delilah Green doesn't care - Ashley Herring Blake

4. The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo- Taylor Jenkins Reed

5. To catch a Firefly - Emmy Sanders

6. The Song of Achilles - Madeline Miller

I've also read these in the past:

1. Everything for you - Chloe Liese (part of a series but this one features an MM romance)

2. Let Love Rule - Frances M. Thompson (Both leads are Bi, and it's quite smutty smiley9, and the FMC is Indian)

3. Red, white and Royal blue - Casey McQuiston

4. Unromance - Erin Connor (The FMC is Bi)

Cat Sebastian writers historical queer romance right ? I read a book for hers but forgot the name.

@b: This one’s really good! I love the MMC’s mom. If and when you get around to reading it, lemme know what you think!smiley9

@green: this one is in my TBR too smiley36

Yeah I believe she does - I have never read anything by her but I think she does right straight romances as well and a mix of historical and contemporary.

Sure - I plan to read To catch a firefly. It came highly recommended by my FB group. smiley9
