another one is immortals of meluha trilogy ...i love the second one

and the last one and most underestimated one is

Q & A written by Vikas Swarup (this is the novel that was adapted in to slumdog millionaire) didnt know this. but in all honesty havent watched slumdog either. i always thought it was a take on kbc 🤣

he also wrote six suspects ---- this is the best novel of his and most underestimated work dding to the never ending to be read list 🤣

i think there are so many authors but never got great response on the other hand people like chetan keeps on writing crap and gets all the limelight agreed and i fail to understand why or how. I mean who reads that crap? *no offence*

@Ari Slumdog millionaire is not a take on KBC, it makes you think. Just think.
P.S Ruskin Bond is an Indian author of British descent.

I've never read Chanakya's chant. I think i might do so soon. I've read Q&A but haven't read six suspects.

I've read Immortals of Meluha and Secret of The Nagas havent read the third one. These books are refreshingly different from the engineering based love stories. Have you read Amish's Scion of Ikshvaku?

I think we should form a club for all Chetan haters.

Btw, isn't that Lee Min Ho in your dp? He is just

read six suspects ...its really good ...it reminds u of jassica lal murder case
i haven't checked amit new book ...may be i will start once he is done with all parts ...i hate waiting lol

i know write ?? there are so many authors who are writing on various subjects but they never got the attention they deserves
take chanakya's chant for eg...its better than all books of chetan combined but he is not even half popular as chetan ...they deserve more

i used to like chetan when he started but now it feels like he is writing scripts instead of books !!!
half girlfriend was the worst written book of his ...even armature writers might write better story than him

yesss!! its lee min ho in my dp ...he is my love lol😆

LOL, I'm part of the same generation, no need to apologize. 😆

And Ruskin Bond has always been Indian. His parents were British but he was brought up in India and I think later his mom married some Indian.😆 Not sure though.

I forgot to mention Amish.

I've read the Shiva trilogy and I bought his new book as well (haven't gotten round to reading it yet). Heard of Chanakya's chant too.

There's another one I've heard of - Ravi Subramanian. He writes banking thrillers and is pretty famous.

I also want to read Vikram Seth. Anyone tried his books?

@Nickel8

Amish recent boook is SCION OF IKSHVAKU...

I have ordered this book lately and just got the copy two days back... I never found any mythological book as interesting as his Shiva Trilogy .. and now his new book is about Lord Ram but I totally got a feel as if it is 4th book of his series.. I mean it is giving me the same feel like his previous books gave... Ram is a Prince, his love for his wife Sita and his love for his land.. <3

I enjoy reading Chitra Benerjee Devkaruni...The Unknown Errors of our Lives..One Amazing thing.. The place of illusions..

I just want to add one more author: Amitav Ghosh..His book Flood of fire, last book of The Ibis trilogy ..is a Master piece..👍🏼 Finalist of the Man booker Prize 2015.. Such a prolific author is he!👏

I know, I have the book, but I haven't been able to make time for it, yet.

The Palace of Illusions was amazing. One Amazing Thing had a good concept, but I didn't like the ending. And several parts of the book were kinda weird. Haven't read the other one, will add it to my reading list. 😳

Oh, yes. Amitav Ghosh has also been on my reading list for AGES. Heard a lot about his books.

Also, Khushwant Singh's Train to Pakistan is another great story. I've also read some of his funny articles (long time back). They're good.

I've read Khushwant Singh's The Portrait of a Lady and it was beautiful. Vikram Seth is classic. There's this quote from Two Lives, "Behind every door on every ordinary street, in every hut in every ordinary village in this middling planet of a trivial star, such riches are to be found. The strange journeys we undertake on our earthly pilgrimage, the joy and suffering we taste or confer, the chance events that leave us together or apart, what a complex trace they leave: so personal as to be almost incommunicable, so fugitive as to be almost irrecoverable."
I've read Oleander Girl and One Amazing Thing by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. She is a wonderful author.
