Now she is one Indian author whose books are worth buying.
Be it the Zoya factor, Battle for Bittora or Those Pricey Thakur girls.. all the three are bestsellers..

While the first two are major films in making, the third one is adapted as a TV show (Dilli wali thakur girls) - which obviously lacks the charm of the book... and also her 4th book is the sequel of this.

Did anyone here read them?
Which among them is your most favorite?
Whom do you relate yourself? Zoya, Jinni or Dabbu?
and not to forget the droolicious Nikhil, Zain and Dylan... Who is your eye-candy?

Let us discuss the Indian Jane Austen..

I haven't read Battle of Bittora. That said, I didn't like Zoya Factor much- too cheesy and unrealistic for my tastes. Zoya as a character irritated me.

I liked TPTG a lot, Dylan and Debjani. It was waay better than TZF and a memorable read. I do catch the show occassionally and while obvs quite a few differences from the book I find myself liking it, especially considering all the BS in Indian TV these days.
And yes, excited for The House That BJ Built. :D

yeah.. the zoya factor was cheesy.. But anuja's books are not really known for love angles.. In zoya factor she showed what is indians mentality associated with cricket. How obsessed they get and what fanatism is.. And also how godmen, astrology and luck nonsense is put above hardwork and determination. In this way I think anuja succeeded in TZF.

I feel TPTG is not as fast paced as TZF or BFB, though it is more popular than the first two books.
Amongst the three BFB is my most fav. It is a sexy read. And ironically it is the least popular out of three. May be because of young indian people's aversion to politics.

I can see u catch the show DWTG coz of sukriti.. I know u from pkyek forum but dont remember the name. I have read your FF which was quite popular...

I love TPTG❤️ 👏👏
One of the finest books...i have ever read... totally fun..and enjoyable...

Dylan is one of my most fav fictional char... Dabbbuuu 😛 *molo-chin*
Eshwari steals the show if she enters the scene... she is just EPIC 😆

Then comes BFB 😃 Ahhh!!! Thats something.. i can only say "Yeh dil maange more..." 😆

TZF - is typical Chick-lit..but i enjoyed though...but there are places where it was bragged a lot...
And both NZ are nuts... egoistic ... insane.. sweet..

Im eagerly waiting for "The House that BJ Built" 😃

Yeah, i was thinking the same that Eshwari is a show stealer. She deserves another book exclusively for her.
And Dylllannn.. love the way he says, "he is a loser and you are the lover of losers. Perfect match" lol..

Yep, TZF is a typical chick-lit. Nikhil khoda is way too perfect and a typical M&B hero, while Zain has always been the insecure and the loser.. He is handsome.. or what Jinni calls lean taut chiseled and honey gold. But he is real... So is Dylan.. He earns just 8,000 per month, has been tricked.. ended up in a lok-up and needed a woman to save him (just like how zain lost to a woman) But they retained their masculinity in that realism. May be that's why I'm intrigued by them as opposed to Nikhil's perfect and always a winner character.

Ordered the house that BJ built via amazon. expecting it soon.😊

It's not just the love angle, it's the characterisation that bothered me in TZF. The humour quotient was very good, though.
No, I don't watch the show because of Sukirti. I don't choose shows like that.
Which FF have you read? I always feel awkward when I bump into someone who says they have read my stuff and I have never seen them in my FFs. Lol.

lol. that was quite long back. 3 years may be. When pkyek was on air. Then the show got horrible and lost interest in all FFs. (exccept poco's which was discontinued) I think you have written just one FF.

@Gudakesha, no. I wrote all my stuff after the show got over. And I've written quite a few. I guess you have me confused with someone else.
