Nothing beats Harry potter...it's a must!
If u haven't read it, keep everything aside and read that first

The mortal instruments and The infernal devices...I like TID over TMI though...TOD takes ur emotional feels to a completely new level

The last song...a very sweet love story of teenagers

Lord of the Rings

Percy Jackson and Heroes of the Olympus (I like the Greek mythology parts in these books)

Harry Potter
The Hunger Games
The Lunar Chronicles
Wonder
Fangirl
If I Stay / Where she went
13 Reasons why
Anna and the French Kiss series
The fault in our Stars
Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants

I have only recently (I.e. In the past year) been pulled into the YA genre and would not have discovered some of these marvelous books if I didn't give it a chance. Off all the books I discovered this past year though, I think the Lunar Chronicles were probably my favourites (Not counting HP and HG - I read them ages ago).

The best YA series I have read till date is the Penryn and the End of the Days series by Susan Ee (not counting HP coz I don't see it as YA). It's a post-apocalyptic story involving Angels. I have been really impressed with the writing so far.

Harry Potter is definitely the best YA series though it's not any more only a YA but an all time classic

I love Hunger Games and love love love Fault in Our Stars

I didn't like Vampire Academy at all when my sis was reading it but liked its spin off series Blood Lines

However, YA isn't an alternative to classic but some of them are really good .. specially Rowling n John Green's writing is no less than any classic author

Interesting ones. I have read all/almost all of these books.
Add to that, Kirsty Moseley's works too. Not every single one of her stories is worth the time you may end up reading, but some of them are..just aww..some.😊
PS. Don't try The boy who sneaks in my bedroom window. I say, it's for your good.😆
