Books. I really don't like ebooks- they're too cold and clinical.

Besides I love the feel of a book in my hand, the weight of it, the rustle of pages as you turn them, that noise when you crack the spine for the first time.

You don't get any of that with an ebook, just a cold screen.

Well, you do get a heavy downpour of salt in your orbs at the sheer discomfort of the cold screen 😆

I appreciate your participation and thanks for sharing your views. One thing is clear that Books do have advantage over e-books as it provides wonderful reading experience.

I am not a much of e-book supporter here. But don't you think that for quick references or while travelling e-books can become a choice for us to read as Smartphone is much Handy than a Book.

That's a good point and yes, it can certainly be of good use too. But somehow, I can't get myself to read an e-book. I always carry a book with me, no matter where I go.

It has to be books for me.
Nothing can come close to replacing the feeling of holding a nice, heavy tome in my hand - sometimes new and crisp that you are afraid of creasing the pages or cracking the spine, or holding a much read and used book and taking comfort in the familiar feel of it and reading and rereading the notes and marking your favorite passages in them . Those are the little pleasures no amount of free ebooks will ever give. There's always at least one book in my bag at all times.
But then again I do read ebooks as well, especially those books I find it difficult to get hold off at the local store but most of the time I use them only for a light or a fast read.
There's no way you can enjoy classics in ebook format, and this I can say from hard experience 🤓.

Dear people who ask me why I read books instead of using an Nook/ereader,
Oh, I tried, but... An ereader can never replace a real book. The feeling of the the pages aganist my finger tips, the smell of a crips new page... The excitment you get when you see the cover and remember all of the fun moments. The rush of fangirling and cuddling your book under your covers at midnight. Reading in the dark with a flashlight as it rains outside. The sound of opening and closing your book... Holding it when your lonely... That ereader can't even compare.
Sincerely, An Avid Reader

Books certainly, I can't get that feeling on e-books. Unless I really feel it is sometimes useful, but with a book on your hand, you could just revolve around another word of dark pages and the smell of those pages. The darkness you can't in e-books, Those memories of old books, makes you feel good.

So as of now, and forever I depend on books no matter what. <3
