When Josie Jensen, an awkward 13-year-old musical prodigy, crashes headlong into new kid Samuel Yazzie, an 18-year-old Navajo boy full of anger and confusion, an unlikely friendship blooms. Josie teaches Samuel about words, music, and friendship, and along the way finds a kindred spirit. Upon graduation, Samuel abandons the sleepy, small town in search of a future and a life, leaving his young mentor behind. Many years go by, and Samuel returns to find his old friend in need of the very things she offered him years before. Their roles reversed, Samuel teaches Josie about life, love, and letting go.

Deeply romantic and poignant, 'Running Barefoot' is the story of a small town girl and a Native American boy, the ties that bind us to our homes and families, and the love that gives us wings.(less)

I just read Real(Real, Raw, Ripped) by Katy Evans! It is a damn good novel! Loved it immensely! Very sensual, very smooth reading, yet it was one great book I have read in recent times! You will love the tortured fighter hero, and I am just eagerly waiting for the next one in series!

Yeah, for me personally I am all for tortured alpha heroes and heroines who help them to get past it, so plus this is the first time I am reading of an alpha hero who is a fighter too! Lol, as long as they are drop dead gorgeous, possessive, protective and heroine is sassy, independent and witty, I love it! Thanks for your feedback!

Leo (Sign of Love #1) by Mia Sheridan...WOWWW!!!!!! 5+ STARS!!!!!!!Freaking Amazing!!!!! Definitely goes in my top 10 list of books of 2013!! It made me cry, laugh, fan myself and gosh it was one brilliant read from the start to finish! I have a friend who grew up in foster care system, and her personal story is heart wrenching, so when I started reading this my heart was already heavy with emotions..but this book really made my day!

"I'm going to kiss you now, Evie, and when I do, it's going to mean that you're mine. I don't care how far away we are from each other. You. Are. Mine. I'll wait for you. And I want you to wait for me. Promise me'"

in that case, i highly recommend you read On Dublin Street by Samantha Young. i absolutely looved the main characters in this one and i still read over my favorite parts of the book. I dare say, that the hero in this one is the most well rounded alpha male of all and the heroine is a feisty one. i think you will enjoy it :)
