Okay first, Yay, another Hunger Games fan! :D

And well, the first person thing. Honestly, I'm not a fan of First person pov. When I read fanfics, or any book, the first thing I look at is, whether the book is in first person or third person.

Now, I have nothing against people who enjoy first person. I just do not like it because you're just stuck with how the protagonist perceives characters to be. I mean, Hunger Games, take that as an example. I loved the plot, but when they were in the arena, I actually wanted to know how Peeta managed to get with the career tributes. But I couldn't, because it was Katniss' pov, and there wasn't much on Peeta. And there were other characters like Haymitch, Gale, Finnick, Annie, Johanna that I wanted to know so much about. How they saw things. But I couldn't, because it was all in Katniss' pov.

I personally love third person stories, and that holds a preference above anything else. But I still loved Hunger Games a lot, especially Peeta and Katniss! :D

^yay...I'm not done with the book yet so I'm just at the part where the games are about to being, cannot wait about that

yeah I agree with you whenever I read a fanfic or story I try to pick one that is in third person point of view mainly because I prefer them.

i actually like it better with 1st person ...than 3rd person . But i guess it is kind of irrateing to be stuck in the mind of 1 person ...other than that...there are books that sort of alternate between 1st and 3rd ...like harry potter..one of my favorite series of all times

Interesting topic. I don't mind if the book is in a first person's view...but like you said, even I prefer reading when it's written in a third person's view...everything is much more clearer.

It depends on the story and complexity of the plot. Some books cannot do justice to the plot without including the point of view of characters other than the main protagonist. Others are able to deliver the plot through the lens of a single character.

So this is slightly unrelated but who likes reading short stories that are written in second person?

They aren't very mainstream but if you search specifically for those, you can get lots of really well-written ones. There's so much you can accomplish with a second-person POV.

I read solely on my own judgment !! if it goes wrong I leave the book mid-way 😆
