Catcher in the Rye- J.D.Salinger
All-time classic.

Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged-Ayn Rand

Though I find them quite pretentious as the years have passed by, they are absolute rite-of-passage books that must be read atleast once.

The Wuthering Heights- Emily Bronte
The lovestory of Catherine and Heathcliff is one for the ages.
