Mr. Paulo coelho is an evertime favourite western novelist. His famous works are
The alchemist
Brida
Eleven minutes
Fifth mountain
Winner stands alone
Alchemist etc.
Which one is your favourite? And why. My favourite is winner stands alone.

I've only read The Alchemist... I quite liked it albeit the whole 'it was destined to be' stuff put me off a bit :/

Brida and Valkyries were disappointment.

I used to like Coelho a lot before, but now find him repetitive.

while reading alchemist,it was so beautiful,but zahir was so same. Now he is writing a type. Sure he can do something great. Brida was very abnormal to read,so cant complete the second half, it makes strange thoughts. The winner stands alone is different from all his works,and i love that one.

Winner Stands Alone is pretty different from all his works... I like it the best... The protagonist has many layers to his characters, plus, the narration is also intriguing :)

i believe winner stands alone is his classic work IMO. But brida was not up to the mark. Better he focus on the thrillers like wsa, it was totally different from all his other works. It was a good experience, reading that.
