Hey guys! I'm Harjot aka Jot. I was wondering what your views on the book "The Vampire Chronicles" by Anne Rice. A friend on IF reccomended the book and i was planning on reading it after i finished Flowers In The Attic by V.C Andrews. I was just wondering, what are your views on the book before i read it? And if anyone can suggest anymore Anne Rice books for me, please do.

^^ I've read Interview With the Vampire and I'm hoping to finish The Vampire Lestat soon... the former was amazing... seriously... now Lestat is what a vampire should be like :P And Claudia is seriously evil ha :P I'd definitely say that you should go for it! :)

i started with vampire lestat but got distracted by anita blake.. shud i try again? he seemed kinda hip starting his own rock band lol..
the movie mistress of the damned is based on this one right?

I don't really know whether it's worth giving my views since I'm the one who asked Jot to read those books 😆 But for what it's worth, I LOVE The Vampire Chronicles. Meggs, go finish The Vampire Lestat! Lestat is consistently my fave character in the entire series, and Anne Rice has this Gothic element to her writing that is absolutely amazing. I mean, I agree that she can get a little descriptive and long-winded, but I love the way she writes and I love her characters.

^^ I know right? Lestat is seriously the coolest :P I actually really liked the movie version of Interview With the Vampire too.... Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Kirsten Dunst were all seriously amazing :)

^^They were good, but I thought Stuart Townsend in QotD portrayed Lestat way awesomer. I'm probably one of the few who thinks that, though! 😆

Seriously? 😲 OMG, you totally should watch it! Granted, it's seriously far away from Rice's novel, but I positively loved it. (And that has NOTHING to do with the fact that I was into heavy rock kinda music at that point in time...*shifty-eyed*) 😆
