Have read the book, personally speaking, it didn't impress me in any way. Not one of Cohello's best work and also at some point in the story, it seems like he strays from the main theme. Didn't like the book! :S

I'm an absolute sucker for Paulo Coelho books. My most favorite book of his, amongst the ones I read is, 'I sat by the river piedra and wept'.
I'll catch up on this one soon. Thanks for posting.

at one point of time,i felt this book was a sacrificial lamb...story isn't that convincing...strays away from the main theme or should i say,a jumble of thoughts....
i liked maria's diary entries....that had enough wisdom in it
otherwise,paulo didn't get it right with this book
