Favorite Dramas you've read?

Hey, I loved Witness for the Prosecution too! But I am a die-hard AC fan, so like mostly everything by her.😆
Another one I loved was 'The Bear' by russian writer Anton Chekhov, had actually seen the play at school and loved the plot and dialogues so much, had to check it out on it's original format!

Anyway,have you read any other Christie plays such as "The Mouse Trap" & "Go Back For Murder"? The latter is yet another favorite of mine.

& I haven't read "The Bear" by Chekhov but after reading your description I'm determined to read it😃 I have read 2 other Chekhov plays.One is "The Cherry Orchard" (which is quite famous I think ) & "The Proposal'" which is a humorous drama 😃 Have you read either?

Yes, I agree Christie has used similar themes many times, but oddly enough it never gets boring or repetitive for me and she manages to fool me every time since I havn't guessed the real culprit any time except for "And then there were none". No, I havn't read those plays by Chrisitie, will defo. give it a try!⭐️
Yes, do read "The Bear", when you read it, it's seems funny but according to the critics, it's a tragedy masquerading as a farce! But then again, when I read it I found it funny and light-hearted, one's own perception I guess!😛

Actually,there are 2 books containing 4 Agatha Christie Dramas each, published by Harper -Collins to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of their Publisher-Author relationship with Christie.One is "Witness For the Prosecution & Other Plays" & the other is "The Mouse Trap & Other Plays" If you can get your hands on them you will be able to read almost all the plays written by her,I think😛

Have you read "Dear Departed" by Stanley Houghton? It is also a humorous drama with a subtle social theme😊

I'll get those two books issued from the library, I can read everything by AC⭐️

I loved The Importance of Being Earnest as well. It was hilarious and then I went to see it actually being performed and the actors did a fantastic job! Simply fantastic! I loved all the puns and satirical nature of some comments.

I have also liked Twelfth Night and Merchant of Venice by Shakespeare. Not a huge fan of Shakespeare but Iiked these two plays. They were very well written with interesting themes and characters.

I also liked A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry. Although I've forgotten the details of the play, I need to reread it, but it was a good read although it was a very short play.

I like poirot mysteries the most

The one which I liked the most was " the adventures of the Christmas pudding"👏

Love AC.... I liked the adapted play of hers BLACK COFFEE.... and also love Romeo and Juliet and Twelfth Night
