I agree with every thing else you said, but as an ardent Kate Winslet fan, I must disagree. After Titanic, I think she made a decision to do more arthouse films and was shocked with the success of Titanic and chose to do smaller films. Maybe this is a reason some of my friends, who are movie snobs prefer Kate to Leo, who they found kinda annoying. This is how Johnny Depp was before his success in Pirates, choosing to always do avant garde cinema. She did not let herself go. The woman has never been a Cameron Diaz and has always embraced her curves to be honest. But I would say she is fitter than alot of the girls in Bollywood. First of all, Kareena is 27 not 29. Also, your last sentence seems to be nothing more than just an excuse to bash Kareena AGAIN! There is no need to compliment Vidya by bringing Kareena down. Its not going to change Kareena's position in the industry.

However, I do agree with your comments on Vidya. She is a very talented actress and weight has nothing to do with how talented an actress is. If weight was any indication of an actress's talent, then Kim Sharma and Raima Sen would be superstars!

And secondly what position in this industry are we talking about for Kareena - Self proclaimed one?....Deepika has most of the big banner in her kitty.

But here I just wanted to say that Looks are great but they are not the end of all. There is more to beauty - Inteliigence and class. If you watch Vidya and other so called glamorous girl - you will see the difference. Vidya talk sense and act well.

PS: I just remember that Rani celebrated her 30th birthday this year...isn't it.

I may have just started posting on this forum, but I've been a silent member on this forum for long enough to know that you take very opportunity you can to bash Kareena. Yes, "bash!" And for the thousandth time, Kareena is not a size zero! Does the media even know what size zero looks like? And the size zero phenomonon was not brought to the industry by Kareena. It was brought on by the media who has nothing better to talk about.

And I never said Kareena has the best projects at hand. When I speak about her position in the industry, I am referring to her being recognized as a good actress who is finally getting her due. What films does Deepika have? All I have heard about is one action film with Akshay where she will have nothing to do, and then she has a film with Saif. Until Deepika can show some acting talent, I'm sorry I will not call her an actress.

And yes Vidya does have intelligence and class.... I won't argue with you there. 😉

I started to like Vidya after her name was dragged in Shahid-Kareena split..(its bad but thats how it is..)...before that I did not like her that much....

But one thing that I do not get is BIG designer's are dressing her up but somehow they can't...its not that her body is that bad so what is the problem....Manish Malhotra did her Heybabby dresses and look how awful they were...

So why Blame Vidya why not blame Designers.

Are Indian designers only "able" to dress size Zero models and when a challenging - normal body comes they fail miserably....

Comeone..atleast I give my opinion than reading others as silently observer...and well go ahead call me a "Kareena Basher"..doesnot make a difference. We are trying to discuss a point here - Do girls need to be thin and young to be prasied as a good actress and well if it has your fav..actress's name crawling in then thats not my problem....

If you see others comment they are commenting CONSTRUCTIVELY rather than calling people Bashers....they did not stick to the point that I called Kareena Size Zero (well I only have Media to educate me on celebrities not any personal friends in the industry so I have to go by media and they call her size Zero)

You started to like her only then. 😆I thought she was ace since Parineeta. She could tone up for sure and make an effort to dress better like Venilla pointed out. But seriously you make a good point about designers. I have seen Jennifer Hudson, Queen Latifah, and other stars who are alot heavier than Vidya dressed so much better. If they put a bit of effort, they could put in more flattering dresses. Bollywood always hypes up Manish Malhotra, but I prefer Arshiya Fakih and Anish Soni. Their designs are more interesting and original.

I always liked her. Im looking forward to KiKo. Whocares what age she is
