Rani, Bebo, Vidya have all tasted the dirt for their flop style mantras
The ex beauty queen will be seen in a hideous bright red hair colour for her forthcoming futuristic romance Love Story 2050. Needless to say, the girl has gone through a lot of pains to achieve the particular look. For one she claimed she could not go out for six months because of her hair colour. But will her hardwork really pay off? Will the red hair colour really add on to the storyline and enhance the character she plays in the film? Going by some of the disastrous makeovers in Bollywood history, all we can say is 'best of luck girl!'.
Here's a list of all the makeovers and hardwork that fell flat on it's face in the past!
Kajol's little sister was never a Bollywood diva material and her sole attempt to become one hot number with Yash Raj's Neil N Nikki fell flat on its face too. The movie was bad to start with but what was worse was Tanisha's horrendous clothes (which were by the way mere scraps of fabric) and her super thin body. We suddenly realised the old chubby Tanisha was a zillion times better than what we saw in the film. Her curls which are normally supposed to make women look hot (Courtesy: Chandni), failed to hike the temperature even by half-a-degree for the actress.
The sudden chirpy, bubbly and bimbette image also did not do anything for the young actress who was quite admired in Sarkar. Truly forgettable, but for her hot pink short skirt, this movie did nothing to Tanisha's image makeover or her career!
Rani Mukerji in Tara Rum Pum
The best way to look young is to BE young. But Bollywood obviously does not get it. In the age of anti-wrinkle and age defying creams, Rani Mukerji decided to use a wig instead to camouflage her age in the first half of her movie Tara Rum Pum. The curly sadhu-baba inspired hair and short fringe if anything, made the actress look funny and extremely weird. In spite of her short skirts and head bands etcetera, Rani failed to look even a minute younger. In fact, her puffy eyes (she should get her blood pressure checked) and funny skin lines (not wrinkles, divas do not get wrinkles) made her look much older than she normally does.
Her co-star Saif though did nothing to look young and looked more or less the same in both the halves of the movie. Unlike his colleague SRK, who used a factory of hair gel in Karan Johar's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, to reduce some eight years of age and depict the character of the college going Rahul.
Vidya Balan in Hey Babby
Vidya looked pretty in Parineeta. For the actress, well, that should have been good enough. Considering her looks in Ekta Kapoor's Hum Paanch and the Super Wheel detergent ads. But NO. She now wanted to look SEXY! And look what happened...yet another disaster.
The actress in her attempt to look hot and sexy, got rid of her Parineeta saris (which by the way, we thought were really sexy) and donned short dresses and skirts and the works! Alas, only to face the dirt! Her sexy avatar was non-existent and what's more, the actress only emerged looking older with prominent facial 'lines'. We like Vidya in a sari. The skirts, dresses and intermittent hats and caps simply did not cut it for the actress or us viewing her in the movie.
Sonam Kapoor in Saawariya
She is undoubtedly pretty. Pretty eyes, long legs, fair skin - Anil Kapoor's li'l one has got it all. But someone had once said 'when you have it, flaunt it'. That is where, Sonam Kapoor's launch vehicle Saawariya went wrong as far as the look of the debutante was concerned (there was a LOT of other things that went wrong with the movie as well). She was covered in what looked like layers and layers of blankets and bed sheets and other forms of upholstery. And they were not shooting in Antarctica! The pretty legs were hidden of course. What was worse is that the better part of her beautiful face also stayed hidden beneath piles of....you got it right, bed sheets!
Kareena Kapoor in Tashan
Jab We Met and then all of a sudden Tashan. Wonder what happened (apart from a change of boyfriend) to the younger Kapoor sister that went so wrong. Kareena looked like she had been suffering from a protein-energy-malnutrition disorder since she was five. Her bikinis and sexy clothes did nothing to make her appear remotely hot. She could have been covered from head to toe for all we care. In fact, she might just have ended up looking somewhat better if she was actually fully covered. The short clothes just highlighted the severe anorexic condition the actress was going through. And her size zero was not the only thing that went wrong perhaps. The actress shared ZERO chemistry with her off-screen boyfriend Saif on screen. And her skin too looked like it had gained some 10 years of tiresome age. Probably these were all side effects of some 'tucks' the actress has reportedly undergone. All we can say is that next time we'd really like to see a healthy Kareena on screen!
