 When Manish Gupta, the screenplay and dialogue writer of Sarkar (which has both the Bachchans in the lead) approached Abhishek with the script of Saab Chai Paani while he was shooting for Bluffmaster, Abhishek kept him waiting for months. Finally when Manish completed shooting for Saab Chai Paani with Sonu Sood and came to show the promos to both father and son, the behaviour of both the Bachchans were starkly different. While Amitabh received Manish very warmly, Abhishek chose to ignore him. Manish was quite upset with Abhishek's attitude. When contacted, writer-director Manish Gupta confirms the story. He says, "Yes, Abhishek did ignore me when I went to show the promos of Saab Chai Paani to him and Amitji. On the other hand, Amitji was extremely courteous even though I went to meet him without an appointment." |
