Babita dislikes Saif as a person.

We've heard, ad nauseam, about the romantic capers of Kareena Kapoor and her beau Saif Ali Khan. But now we hear that these same capers have been giving mamma Babita sleepless nights. Reportedly, she is terribly upset about her daughter's relationship with Saif. Kareena knows about her mother's displeasure but hopes that she will come around one day and welcome Saif into the family.

Our well-placed source in the industry says, "Babita has not done anything in public so far to reveal her opinion of Bebo's relationship with Saif. She has been very cordial with Saif, but when alone with Kareena, she does not leave any opportunity to tell her that Saif is not the right choice for her."

So what is the problem with Saif? "It's not that Babita dislikes Saif as a person. She finds him a nice guy. Her problem is Saif's age. While Kareena is 27, Saif is 37. The 10-year age gap is disturbing Babita. She feels Saif is a bit too old for Kareena."

The source reveals one more reason for Babita's disapproval of Saif. "Saif is a father of two kids - Sara and Ibrahim (from his first marriage with Amrita Singh). Which mother would like her daughter to marry a man who has two kids?"

We hear that besides trying to reason with her daughter Kareena, Babita has also been trying other means to get Saif out of Bebo's life, by hook or by crook. Reportedly she invites soothsayers to her flat (Babita and Kareena live together in Bandra) and has long chats with them. "She asks them all sorts of questions. The main question is, of course, 'For how long is the Saif-Kareena relationship slated to last?'" our source reveals.

Before Saif, Kareena was involved with Shahid Kapur. "Babita had no problems with Shahid," our source adds.

When we contacted Babita, her spokesperson called to deny the news. When we asked to speak to Babita directly, we were told that she hasn't spoken to the press for the last '20 years', and will not do so now.

I agree...both sisters life is completely run by their mother...karishma/kareena are very keen to do everything by their mother's approval...Eventually, kareena too will be forced to break her relationship with saif just like karishma....oh well, babita is their mother after all and she probably wants the best for her girls😊 and herself😆

btw...babita has valid reasons concerning saif...the major thing is saif 2 kids, which could create problems in the future b/c thru the kids amrita singh[ saif ex wife] will always be attached and kareena will not like it....age difference is a problem for sum ppl while others don't care....also, i think one more reason babita might dislike saif b/c he is a muslim....even though, he isn't conservative, babita wouldn't want her daughter to marry a muslim guy and become Mrs. S Ali Khan😕[tho i must say, saif is a muslim only by name and not practice...but that would apply to all khans😆]

But Kareena is not Karisma. I think this girl is ruled more by her heart than mind, while karisma was more of an analytical thinker who did what was best.
If she truly loves saif, I think her mother will have to give in to her rather than the other way around. And saif is not letting her go that easily. The tattoo is proof enough of his intentions. He's going all the way with kareena. So unless kareena herself has a change of heart, I dont think even her mother can do too much.
And despite everything, this article did admit taht she likes him as a person, its just other obstacles that come in teh way. Knowing saif, it wont take long for even babita to get charmed. Karisma and sanjay got along really well with saifu during the awards, so that's a good sign.
And I gotta admit, Kareena Ali Khan sounds really royal and grand. I like it 😃

i hope so, for saifeena's sake since they seem so much in love...i am still not sure about babita...she seems far too stubborn to give in so easily...i don't really see a bright future 4 this relationship......i do like saifeena as a couple...they make a very good looking couple...but they have lots of obstacles in this relationship, no wonder they are the most controversial couple😆
