Interview : Periodically posh! |
Here are the excerpts: It gives me immense high to don roles that are in fact an exodus from my real self. Playing such extravagant selves before the camera is demanding and pulsating. I think I am just plain bored playing myself (grins). Also the fact that my last few films have done modestly well can be deemed as one of the reason behind doing such roles. But now, I wish take a break and return to my usual self. What drove you to opt for a period film?
Yes, there were times when the heavy attires and corpulent armors took a toll on me. In day-to-day affairs, I'm used to wearing comfortable clothes. But now, those arduous training sessions and bulky apparels have become so much a part of me that I'd miss them if I ever have to forgo them. You seemed to have succumbed to some serious injuries while shooting for Jodhaa Akbar. Well, I had put up with some injuries while shooting or Krrish and Dhhom 2. But nothing such happened during Jodhaa Akbar. It's just that as I had stretched myself too far, my knee simply refused to bear up with me. I just had to recline to some rest before it finally kicked up. It's said that following all the hubbubs about your kiss in Dhoom 2, Aishwarya and you strictly put forward a no-kiss clause for Jodhaa Akbar?
What do you have to say about all the controversies that are being riddled around Jodhaa Akbar just before its release? I'd just say that it's extremely unfair evaluate a film without watching it. I mean how can you protest again something you aren't aware of. You need to look the film first to comment on it. All those who are creating controversies are in look out for some publicity. That's it. I don't think that the film will be banned or anything such. Rather I can bet that anybody who watches the film will be enamored by it. Which film would you rate as the numero uno film of 2007? |
