Hrithik, Ash on Jodhaa Akbar controversy
IN DEFENCE: 'All the different sections objecting to different things are not in consensus with each other,' says Hrithik.
New Delhi: The stars of the film Jodhaa Akbar Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai were in the capital on Friday night for the premiere of the film.
Though critics have appreciated the film, it has not hit screens in Rajasthan due to protests by some Rajput groups.
The stars have reacted to the controversy.
"It is a movie. Grab a popcorn, sit back and enjoy it. If you are a Hindu you will be proud, if you are a Muslim you will be proud and if you are a Rajput you will be proud too. You will be proud to just be a human. It is that kind of a film. All the different sections that are objecting to different things are not in consensus with each other," said Hrithik.
Meanwhile Aishwarya explained, "The story of the movie firstly is not a history lesson and it is not a documentary. It is a fictional love story."
