Ash to create history again

NRI filmmaker Pan Nalin of 'Valley Of Flowers' fame is planning to make a film on the life of Lord Buddha now and is said to be eyeing Aishwarya for the role of Yashodhara. And quite interestingly, Ash has also dropped hints of interest for doing the role.

"It's a multi-billion dollar project and I'm backed by Oscar winning producer Barnet Bian and one of India's top business houses which is getting into film production with this project. Aishwarya is just perfect for the role," affirms Pan who is in India now on a mission to convince Aishwarya.

In course of their meeting, Ash is believed to have asked Pam quite a few technical questions and promised to get back to him after seeing a couple of his film. The actress was also startled by Pam's proposal to cast Abhishek in the role of Buddha. However, the director's only concern was that would the actor be wiling to shave off his head for the role.

In the meantime a couple of filmmakers counting Shekhar Kapoor and Shyam Benegal are also considering making films on Lord Buddha. Unfazed by the competition, Pam blurted, "But my film will be different, it will be told from the point of Gautam Buddha's wife, Yashodhara."
