Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will be immortalized as a statue, alongside India's greatest… Mahatma Gandhi.

The Grevin Wax Museum in Paris will unveil a lifelike statue of King Khan this April, and it will display in tandem with a statue of Mahatma Gandhi's. Shah Rukh and Mahatma Gandhi will be the only two Indians in the museum. Other noted people at the museum are Michael Jackson and Celine Dion.

Shah Rukh has already spent time sitting for the statue formation while he has been in London. It has been reported that this statue will be more authentic than the one at Madame Tussauds in London.

What are your thoughts on this new honour that is being bestowed upon Shah Rukh Khan… do you believe that Amitabh Bachchan should have been given his statue before Shah Rukh Khan, or is this the correct choice… and Shah Rukh Khan is more popular now than Amitabh Bachchan has ever been? that's really cool that he's getting a second statue but he's just too overrated by people and media. he is just an actor and i mean he didn't do anything for the indians like gandhi did. why is he the only one to get a statue? i'm sorry if i offended anyone but this is just my point of view.

I agree, SRK is not equal to Gandhi and its rather strange to mention them in the same article. It would be nice if other people who made a difference to the community were also acknowledged

Its good that he's being recognised on an international level, but its only a statue.....nothing new its been done before.

It will be interesting to see if a fatwa is issued against SRK now since they brought it up with Salman!
