Now that Rajkumar Hirani's next in the Munnabhai series, MUNNABHAI CHALE AMERIKA has got delayed due to Sanjay Dutt's legal hassles, Hirani is now concentrating on his next project, based on the Indian education system. This is quite well known, and also known to one and all is that Shah Rukh Khan, Hirani's first choice for the lead actor, turned down the project due to differences with the producer, Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

There were talks of Rajkumar Hirani having approached Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor but none of them seem to have been finalized.

The latest hero to have been approached to step into Shah Rukh Khan's shoes is Aamir Khan. The super actor has evinced a keen interest in working with the maverick filmmaker, but as always demanded a bound script which Hirani has been unable to provide, as he is still working on the subject. And so despite all the rumours of Aamir Khan (and also Kajol) being finalized as the lead pair of the project, uncertainty still prevails.

The fact of the matter is that it is still uncertain who Hirani's next hero/lead pair will be at this point of time.

Honestly isnt it a bit too much to try and cast a 40+ actor to play a guy of 18 be it SRK or Amir 😕

It would have been ideal to see SRK-Kajol again as even though i enjoyed Fanaa i was not overly impressed with Aamir-Kajol's jodi. Still the concept of the movie must be brilliant if they want to rope in Aamir.
