Ayesha and her Republic Day connection
Ayesha Takia seems to have a thing for Republic Day and the celebrations which come along with it.
Her SUNDAY is all set for a release on 25th January, a day before Republic Day. This Rohit Shetty film was earlier planned for a February release but was pre-poned when plans changed for the release of JODHAA AKBAR.
Now if one goes a year back in advance, the biggest film of her career, SALAAM-E-ISHQ, was also released on 26th January in the year gone by. Incidentally this Nikhil Advani film was slated for Diwali 2006 release but was postponed to January 2007.
This coincidence gives Ayesha two film releases on back-to-back Republic Days. In between the two films, Ayesha also saw the arrival of films like KYA LOVE STORY HAI, FOOL N FINAL, CASH (Guest appearance) and NO SMOKING.
