Deepika and Ranbir ignore each other

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, who are known to have a short-lived affair in the past, came face-to-face at an award function held at suburban five star hotel on Sunday evening. The actors, who bagged awards for their debut performances in their respective films, were meant to sit together. However, they were clearly uncomfortable and refused to sit even close to each other. Our source, who was present at the function, says, "The organisers made seating arrangements in a way that the two sat together. However, Ranbir and Deepika did not sit together."

Deepika, who looked stunning in a red saree, came in early with her mother. Ranbir, who sported a back tuxedo, made a fashionably late entry with his parents, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh. He was ushered in and as he moved closer to the seating area, he spotted Deepika. Soon thereafter, he moved to a different section and directed his parents to follow him. Our source adds, "Ranbir was moving towards his seat without realising that Deepika was very close to where he was asked to sit. But once he saw her, the Kapoors went a few seats away from Deepika."

While collecting their awards Ranbir and Deepika decided to ignore each other. The duo walked away without even exchanging any glances or greetings for that matter. An eyewitness says, "Ranbir and Deepika had ample opportunities to greet and talk to each other. They even crossed each other's path but did not exchange a single word. We expected them say a casual 'Hi' at least. However, their proximity made them quite uncomfortable."

A source close to Ranbir confirmed the story, but Ranbir and Deepika remained unavailable for comment. Ranbir's mother Neetu Singh was also unavailable for a comment.

Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see how Ranbir and Deepika manage to work together in their next film under the Yash Raj banner. Deepika and Ranbir are set to start shooting for the film in Australia, next month.

As far as Deepika is concerned, she has already had a fair share of suitors. She broke-up with her boyfriend of three years Nihar Pandya and started seeing Ranbir. When the couple had a big fight and she moved back to Nihar's house. Deepika is currently dating cricketer Yuvraj Singh. She was also linked with the Indian skipper M S Dhoni.

They are going to have a tough time in January shooting for their film😛.

They should learn from SRK-Bachchan on how to be cordial even when you hate each other😆.

If indeed the 2 ignored each other at a public function,there must have been
more than"we belonged to the same group"story.the nasty public fight last
year too points to the same..

Surely there will be fireworks in Australia(one way or the other).

That is exactly what I was referring to😆 We never know what Ranbir-Deepika were upto behind scenes😉 Considering they both are such "pimps" these days😆
