Akshay Kumar returns to 'action' next year

Doing action roles used to be Akshay Kumar's forte until he decided to show his comic flair.
Akshay Kumar has become synonymous with comedy in Bollywood. Almost all his films in year 2007 had Akshay in comic roles be it Vipul Shah's romcom Namastey London , Sajid Khan's Heyy Babyy , Priyadarshan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa and now Anees Bazmee's Welcome .
But now, Akshay is tired of repeating himself and is looking forward to different roles and films that he is doing in 2008.
The first Akki film to hit the theatres next year would be Tashan , which has him playing a rough and rugged man pulling off dangerous stunts.
There will also be Chandni Chowk To China (previously titled Made In China ) that has Akki playing a chef who goes on to become a martial arts fighter in China.
And producers are already planning to make 'Return to Khiladi' with Akshay after his small cameo in Shah Rukh Khan's Om Shanti Om .
Apart from action, Akshay will be seen playing a serious and complex role in Nagesh Kukunoor's psychological thriller Eight By Ten which is said to be inspired from Manoj Night Shyamalan's Oscar nominated film 'The Sixth Sense'.
Well, 2008 is going to be quite a year for Akshay.
