Yeh shooting nahi ho sakti

After the scrapping of Fauj Mein Mauj, Mallika Sherawat has repeated the act with PNC's Ugly Aur Pagli. She has stalled its shoot.

The film which marks the directorial debut of Sachin Khote, also features Ranvir Shorey. According to a source, Sherawat was initially very charged up about the project and allotted her dates promptly. After the first few days of the shooting, apparently she felt that the film was not turning out the way it had been narrated to her.

"Mallika came up with some suggestions. But the corporate house was not keen on implementing them because that would increase the budget,"adds the source.

A few months ago, Sherawat had announced a big Hollywood project Unveiled. But after the unveiling, there's been no more news.

More problems
Reportedly, the actress has also been engaged in a controversy with Firoz Nadiadwala, the producer of Welcome, over the use of her name in the promotions. Her argument is that she's only doing a special appearance.

"Mallika feels that she needs to be cautious about the projects she's doing. This explains her sudden change of behaviour towards PNC productions," says the source. The movie's producer, Rongita Nandy, didn't respond to our text messages.

Director Khote, replied reassuringly, "There's no problem with Mallika.We will resume shooting from December 20. Mallika recently saw the rushes and she's happy with what we have shot so far."

As for Fauj Mein Mauj, Sanjay Chhel has been roped in to rework the script and re-shoot. Murli Nagavalli, the original director of the movie—believed to be inspired by Private Benjamin —has surprisingly raised no objections. Formerly, he was assistant to Priyadarshan.
