Even as director Vivek Agnihotri seems gung ho about a sequel to Goal, actor Arshad Warsi, who was part of the original, isn't as excited.
During the filming of Goal, the grapevine was abuzz with rumours of "creative differences" between John and Arshad. Subsequently the actor also stayed away from all promotions of the film. However, even as Arshad hasn't ruled out doing the next installment, he says it is all about the script.
Arshad is currently filming in Goa for the sequel to his 2006 hit Golmaal. "We have just begun filming Golmaal Returns. I can say this about the film that compared to the first Golmaal this is 10 times better from the point of view of the script. The story is much more interesting and the humour much better but the story a bit complicated."
About his role, he says, "I am playing a police office who is after Ajay Devgan. but at the same time I am romancing his sister. So although he doesn't want me to come into his house he can't do much about it. So he is completely fed up of me. There is this cat and mouse game between Ajay and me which is quite hilarious," adds Warsi.
Arshad's next release is his Golmaal director, Rohit Shetty's, Sunday.
"Sunday is a very interesting film. It is a thriller of sorts. The interesting part about it is that it works like a jigsaw puzzle one piece here…another piece fits in there and like a puzzle if even one piece goes missing then you don't know what to do! Similarly, in the film, one by one the pieces come together and by the end of it everything falls together and you come to know what exactly happened on that Sunday," says Arshad.
"The story revolves around the a girl from who's life one Sunday gets wiped out and as a result many problems and complications arise. So it's a thriller filled with lots of action. You get to see some great car chases that we haven't seen on screen for awhile. But having said that there is an element of humour in it as well. Irrfan (Khan) has done a great comic role in the film and there is romance too! So for me it's a complete package. It's a typical fast paced Rohit Shetty film. It is what you call a paisa vasool film!" concludes the actor.
