KJo's camp finds Preity too old!

Pretty she might be, but it seems that Karan Johar finds Preity Zinta a tad too old. His next venture, to be directed by his assistant director Tarun Mansukhani, has zoomed in on Priyanka Chopra after considering Preity for the role.

Originally planned with Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan, the film, starring Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham, fell into Preity's lap when Ash walked out of the film due to some skimpy clothes she refused to wear.

But the Salaam Namaste actress lost out to Priyanka because she 'looks old'! "We required the lead to look fresh and sexy and Preity was not fitting the bill. She couldn't have played the young woman's role required for the film," said a source at the Karan Johar camp.

The problem, it seems, is that Preity's been playing married woman lately. We strongly protest. Preity, our desi Drew Barrymore, isn't about to grow old anytime soon. Not for the next 10 years anyway.
