If you happened to be anywhere close to Kalyani Nagar Sunday morning, you couldn't have missed the screaming and shouting of a euphoric crowd present at the Gold Gym. The reason was simple: heart throb Salman Khan was right there and the effect could be nothing short of sheer frenzy of course!
A delirious crowd comprising drooling girls, oggling guys, excited kiddies and happy uncles and aunties thronged the venue as muscle man Khan arrived around 9 am to cut the ribbon and also spend some quality time with the members of the health club.
Dressed in a red sweatshirt and khaki coloured rolled-up shorts, the 41-year-old superstar looked more fit than any of the workout freaks present there. And that's exactly why every one bombarded him with questions relating to subject of physical fitness.
"Oh, infact I haven't worked out seriously since quite sometime now," said the macho guy modestly. His remark, "Get up early, sleep late, chawal-roti dabake khao!" got everyone laughing. But on a more serious note, he advised, "Exercise is really important. Apart from that stay away from bad habits like alcohol, substance and gutkha. Also, avoid carbohydrates in your diet."
So what's his diet? "I don't really follow a particular diet. I actually eat everything and to balance that I put in twenty minutes more extra in my physical training," confessed the Bollywood big guy even as he added that he absolutely loves eating rajma chawal.
Well, rajma maybe his preferred choice of food but what's his preference among Saawariya and Om Shanti Om as both had him in a cameo role. The answer is diplomatic, "Both." But wasn't his role in Saawariya supposed to be much meatier? "That was the impression even I was under. I was meant to have a much chunkier role of at least 45 minutes. When I saw the final movie, even I was surprised to see that I was as good as not there. The movie really lacked the typical Sanjay Leela Bhansali intensity," was Salman's forthright reply. So is thisBollywood brat going to hold it against Bhansali for the injustice done? "Oh no, not at all. I am still going to stand by him no matter what," clarified Khan quickly.
While talking about Saawariya, Sallu also spoke aloud about how the media killed the movie in the beginning itself with bad reviews. "Before people can even get a chance to watch any movie, these days, the media declare its fate with one-sided reviews. This surely isn't a good thing as it literally murders the film, giving it little scope to prosper."
But big bhai isn't worried about the same happening to his forthcoming movies. "I've got God Tussi Great Ho in the pipeline and you'll are going to simply love it," he signed off.
Guess, Salman days are here again.
