l don't read reviews: Sonam Kapoor
Unmindful of the reactions that 'Saawariya' has received, Sonam Kapoor is celebrating her debut reports Shilpa Jamkhandikar
Sonam Kapoor is a happy girl, and it shows.
"I have spent all my time sleeping, celebrating the release of 'Saawariya' and dancing. I have been dancing a lot these days," she giggles.
So has she read the reviews of her debut film? "No I have hardly read any reviews, because my father won't let me. In his 25 years in the industry, dad hasn't read a single review because it spoils one's innocence as an actor," she says.
"But I have been getting such great reactions from everybody, that I am very happy.
'Saawariya' is very close to me. I am yet to get out of it. I am taking a break for some time now, but after a few days it will be back to the grind," she adds.
Is she talking about Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's 'Dilli 6'? "I can't talk about it right now," she says disarmingly.
What does she have to say about some of the criticism that has come in the way of 'Saawariya'?
"I think just a few people are writing all this, which is really unfair and unjust. The film has got rave reviews abroad. And I have been appreciated, so I am really happy. If some one else wants to say anything, I am not going to pay so much attention to it."
Sonam says about her role, "It was not an author-backed role. It had shades of grey, but people have really liked it. This encourages me."
Well, for someone who is just one film old, Sonam sure sounds like an old hand at the game!
