It's generally the notion that is a movie fails, it's because of bad acting. That might be the case sometimes, but not always. For instance, take a movie like Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon. Kareena has a flair for playing loud characters, but she was terrible in the movie. I think it was the director's fault for creating such a stupid character, not Kareena's. Rani and Konkana acted well in Laaga Chunari Main Daag, yet it flopped, so should Rani be blamed or the story.
So what if Saawariya doesn't do well, that does not mean it's the end of the road for the two newcomers. Atleast Sanjay is trying something different but maybe was unsuccessful this time. Ashutosh made Swades, though a good movie with some great acting it flopped, but atleast he's attempting something different. Now Aamir is trying something different with TZP, so if it flops does that mean he should stop trying to make different movies. Same goes with JA, again something different, could go either way, but atleast these directors are giving us something new.
Failure is the stepping stone to success. The more someone puts you down, the more challenged you are to show them you can succeed. Hrithik and Abhishek are fine examples of this. Hrithik was said to be finished prior to KMG, but look where he is now. Abhishek was always known as a flop actor for about 7 years, but post Yuva, and now Guru he has showed everyone what he's capable of.
