Om Shanti Om emerges a blockbuster overseas(BOI)
Om Shanti Om has managed extraordinary business in the overseas circuit. The collections are very similar to the biggest opener ever Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna in the local currencies but when converted into rupees the collections fall around 2 crore short of record grosser and opener Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. This is due to the strength of the rupee over the last year.
Om Shanti Om has notched up nearly 15 crore Overseas in three days. Estimated collections from the three big centres are UK-4.25 crore, USA-5.75 crore and UAE-2.25 crore. The trade is estimating around 40 crore+ business from the overseas market which would make the film an All Time Blockbuster in the circuit.
Saawariya has managed fair business overseas of about 6 crore with UK contributing 1.75 crore, 2.25 crore from USA and UAE giving 75 lakhs.
