i don't understand why ppl are taking OSO or saawariya so personally... its not as if its our film....

so certain people did not like it... big deal! some ppl will like saawariya... some won't.... some ppl will like OSO... some won't.... what will finally matter is how MOST ppl like / dislike a movie... a movie panned by critics can still be a hit and vice versa...

i read somewhere - saawariya is meant for an 'intelligent' audience and OSO is for the brainless masses... how absolutely snobbish!!... movies are or at least should be about pure entertainment only... and off-beat films have been doing fantastically in india in the past two years....

plus whats with the bashing up of critics... everywhere i read its the same thing - critics are dumb/ stupid/ idiots etc etc... if critics are so useless then why do movies display critics rating in their ads post release ?.... after 'laga chunari' was tore apart by the critics, jaya bachchan said 'there are no real critics in india'.... very conveniently forgetting how she would quote these same critics when they went ga-ga over abhishek in 'guru'... talk about double-standards!

urghhhhhh..... sorry about the above rant.....i guess i'm just tired of all the negativity around.. where liking saawariya means being a pretentious snob... and liking OSO means being a SRK chamcha!

That is because story wise people will go for fun and laughter on a festival. Plus SRK is also there. The promos are hilarious. So OSO will definitely be a mass-HIT. Even celebrities loved it because Farah Khan-SRK never claimed it to be a real film. They marketed it as a Manmohan Desai kind of film.

But I am sure Saawariya will have people flocking for two reasons SLB and fresh new pair of Sonam-Ranbir. But then movie won't be a mass-hit but multiplex-HIT.

Both will fair WELL among NRIs though.

is liye to kehti houn bollywood media mein kaam kar lo 😆 😆 😆 i am eagerly waiting for saawariya, looks like the competition is going to be tough for filmfare awards 😉

Where were you? Missed you. I am already working in Bollywood😉😆.

Filmfare newcomer awards obviously will go to Sonam-Ranbir because they are star kids. Remember even Tusshar Kapoor got one. But I think Deepika will get one too. So may be they will create more categories😛.

I guess that would make me a pretentious snob/SRK chamcha because I'm seeing both movies and love the promos for both. LOL!

But bips, I totally get what you're saying because I'm feel the same way. Often times, I have watched a movie where critics have been all postive and yet, I'm the total opposite or vice-versa, the movie gets all negative reviews yet I love it. Honestly, it's dependant on one's personal preference. There are going to be certain sectors that will love either OSO and Saawariya or both and another case, some people will care for neither movie.

So like I said, it's dependant on preference. Personally, I hope that both movies do fabulously well and that people have a good time watching it.😊

Sawariya for the intelligent audience !! Common who needs intelligence to understand a SLB story . Its only about loud thuds n silks, blankets flowing, n drama .

I think Manoram six feet under, Johny gaddar under is far more intelligent than any SLB movie 😆
I appreciate creativity n originality not flicked concepts !!
