The power of political connection....

She - reportedly - produced the movie herself...Kangana was producer, director, writer, lead actress and editor, but she chose the wrong title as it is more a biopic about Indira with the Emergency just a small part.

Politicians are all self-serving scum, so it's not like they are gonna hold each other accountable. But a sitting member of the parliament should be barred from working outside the government. Not only does this keep her away from the job she was elected for, but her payments for films could literally just be a way of bribing a vote. It's genuinely so screwed up.

I read somewhere she herself produced the movie?

Kangana is lucky if she is getting any offer after all the disasters. Hope she will just do the acting part and not interfere with the writing & directing.
