She married the Muhjse shaadi karogi director, Sajid nadiawala on May 20th, 1993. They kept their marriage a secret because Sajid didn't want Divya's popularity harmed. In March 93 issue of stardust magazine, divya said that she was going to make a big announcement about her and Sajid, early the following year. Unfortunately, the announcement never came due to Divyas death.

Sajid was devasted after Divya's death and never thought of moving on. It was Divya's dad who encouraged him to move on. Even though he is married and has a kid, he still carries Divya's picture in his wallet.

A big announcement? Hmmm, wonder what it could have been? Maybe Divya was planning to start a family. 😊
