Respected Sir,

As a citizen of India, I fervently appeal to your lordship to consider the bail-plea, as and when submitted by Mr. Sanjay Dutt, sentenced by the Tada court, to six years of rigorous imprisonment, favorably. I beg to appeal to your goodself to consider the following points on compassionate and humanitarian ground.

1. That Sanjay Dutt had committed the mistake of keeping the unauthorized arms in his custody in self defense in view of the explosive and violent situation prevailing in Mumbai at that time. Though unlawful, Sanjay Dutt was trying to protect his fundamental right of self defense, as enshrined in the constitution.


2. That he has already suffered his jail term for about 16 months and underwent the traumatic period of 14 years which has already taken a heavy toll on his mental peace and tranquility.


3. That he is the only earning member of his family and his physical presence with his family is of paramount importance at this critical juncture of their lives.


4. That, ever since that unbecoming nightmare, Sanjay Dutt has been maintaining a peaceful and law-abiding citizen's life, having high respect and regard to the judiciary, and he deserves to be given a chance to show his mettle to practice "Gandhigiri" in his real life and to induce others to follow the serene path.


5. That the unlawful act, committed by Sanjay Dutt , did no harm to anybody, but was a direct fallout of the heinous crime of rioting, committed by those, indicted by SriKrishna Commission who are still moving scot-free which is a contradiction in the entire judicial system.

In conclusion, I would like to pray to your lordship to consider his bail application sympathetically so as to uphold judiciary system in our country.
