One of Bipasha Basu's dreams came true at Lisbon, Portugal when she got to meet her favourite footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and the actress made the most of it. She says she danced and partied with the football star, who is a big fan of Bollywood.

Bipasha hosted the 'Seven Wonders of the World' ceremony at the Benfica Stadium in Lisbon on July 7.

"For two months I had been raving to John that I'd meet Cristiano at IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) awards. They had promised to make him walk with me. I was crushed when it didn't happen. Who was to know that I'd party with him just weeks after IIFA," Bipasha said.

"I was like a fan to begin with. But after we bonded we just became two individuals' bonding as buddies over an important international event. We're pals now. If I ever have to see a football game, all I've to do is ask Cristiano," she added.

Bipasha became a football fan ever since she met John. "I've been Cristiano's fan for five years. I haven't yet told John the details of my partying with Cristiano. I will as soon as he returns from his outdoors."

However, intimate pictures of Cristiano and Bipasha have been splashed all over the Internet and local television channels are also airing snaps of her close encounter with the football star.

Revealing the details, she said, "I felt like a princess. He gave me so many compliments. He danced with me throughout the night. There were 50,000 jealous women staring at us. I must've got so much Portuguese bud-dua (bad wishes) that night. The local girls wanted to murder me. Now he wants to e-mail me regularly."

During dinner Cristiano told Bipasha that he was a big fan of Bollywood. "I thought he was just trying to be sweet. I told him he didn't have to say he liked Bollywood films just to please me.

"Cristiano fished out his cell phone and made me hear 'Tujhse naraaz nahin' from 'Masoom'. He said, 'Now do you believe me?'

Bipasha laughs about her interaction with the soccer star. "Though he looks older, Cristiano is very young, just a boy. Now I've told him, I'm only his fan on the field. Beyond the field he's my friend."

"I've told him I'm his first Indian friend. We discussed John and my football film 'Goal'. I've invited Cristiano to India."

THIS may be far from music to John Abraham's ears but Bipasha Basu has announced to close friends: "I'm single for the first time in 10 years." John, seemingly, was disappointed when Bipasha refused to do the film casting John. Sources close to John inform that he's going through a low phase. While Saif Ali Khan may be besotted with Bipasha Basu, his good friend Salman Khan is not exactly fond of her. Sallu made his disapproval for Bipasha very evident at a recent stage show in Nagpur. The show's choreographers asked Salman to lift Bips in his arms and take a twirl. The story goes that Salman was initially apprehensive about being covered by Bips' dress. Later during the rehearsals, he simply refused to lift the actress and walked off.

A junior artiste who had rehearsed with the actor says, "Initially, Salman was not keen on lifting anyone as he thought that he might get covered. However, the organisers managed to convince him. It was during one of our final rehearsals when he walked off saying, "Isko (referring to Bipasha) kaun uthayega? (Who will lift her?)"

Reportedly, Bipasha was sitting just next to him and couldn't believe her ears when Salman reacted that way.

Those in the know reveal that Salman's dislike for Bipasha is just an extension of his ire for John and Bipasha. It was during the Rockstars show last year that the couple had managed to annoy Salman. Problems started when one show in Canada had poor ticket sales. Salman had requested fellow colleagues to waive off their respective fees for a show in Canada that had poor ticket sales and organisers had incurred huge losses. John and Bips had refused to give up on a single dollar and even demanded to stay in upmarket hotels.

Nevertheless, on the D-day a good-hearted Sallu ignored his personal differences and lifted the actress during their act. A source close to the actor says, "Salmanbhai is very professional. He will never let his personal issues spoils someone else's show. The crowd went berserk when he lifted Bipasha."

Cristiano Ronaldo has been photographed kissing Bollywood babe Bipasha Basu at a Portuguese nightclub.

The Man United ace was reportedly getting very cosy with the supermodel at a VIP bash held after the new Seven Wonders of the World ceremony in Lisbon.

Bollywood siren Bipasha Basu wants to come clear out of her recent kiss controversy. The actress avers that the episode has not affected her relationship with John and they are together not for ads but for love. Catch the sultry actress in a tte--tte with HTTabloid.

Do you think Ronaldo episode will affect your relationship with John?
I don't think so. I know what the truth is all about. As far as I remember, he never kissed me. So, there is nothing that I am hiding from him. I am sure Ronaldo episode will not affect our relationship.

But don't you think the photograph being circulated in the media suggests otherwise?
I have already given clarification on that. It's not clear from the photograph that he is kissing me, as nothing of this sort really happened between two of us. While dancing with me, he might have come closer to whisper something into my ear.

Do you remember that he whispered something in your ear?
No. I don't remember any occasion when he came so close. But I can't say that for sure because I was a little drunk. I danced with him the whole night. It was not just the matter of a few seconds or minutes, but a long time.

There are talks that you and John are together because of advertisement contracts. How far is it true?
It's not for the first time that such things are being talked about. We are together for love not for ads.

Have you spoken to John after this?
Not yet. He is busy with his shoots. But once he gets free, we will talk. I will share everything with him about my trip and all controversies, which are taking rounds.

With whom did you share your kiss controversy first? Wasn't it Dino Morea?
I didn't share that with him first. In fact he called up and told me that such photograph is being circulated on the net.

Do you think this kind of kiss controversy will earn you international fame?
I don't want to earn international recognition with this kind of controversy. I am already internationally known.
