| Balaji uses Smriti Iraani's body double to shoot a promotional episode of Shootout At Lokhandwala

Tusshar Kapoor, who plays gangster Dilip Buwa in Shootout at Lokhandwala, had a whale of a time shooting for sister Ekta Kapoor's Star Plus show late on Sunday night at Film City.
Along with Vivek Oberoi, Rohit Roy, Shabbir Ahluwalia and Aditya Lakhia, Tusshar, too, plays a gangster in Apoorva Lakhia's film.
As Ekta is a co-producer of the film along with Sanjay Gupta and Sanjay Dutt, a promotion for Shootout in Kyunki's episode (to be aired on Thursday) seemed perfect for the film that hits the marquee this Friday.
Kahani mein twist
During the shoot, Thums Up was used instead of alcohol for certain scenes and the unit apparently ran short of it after a while.
Moreover, Smriti Iraani (Tulsi) was not present for the shoot, so her body double was used for the sequence (so much for promotion!).
It is learnt that Tusshar called up Ekta and said that Nivedita Basu, creative director of the show, should also be part of the scene.
The Shootout gang refused to come out of their vanity vans until Nivedita agreed to toe the line. After a long break, they finally came out and told her they were only pulling her leg!
Then Vivek claimed it was his birthday and told the unit to order a cake. Again, it was just a joke but it sure put the Balaji guys in a tizzy!
So just how does Shootout fit into Kyunki ? Apparently, the Viranis have proved that Tulsi is mentally unsound and decide to send her to an asylum.
The staff of the asylum comes to fetch Tulsi and is on its way back when it gets caught in a traffic jam near a roadside restaurant.
The gangsters from Shootout are grooving to the Ganpat song (from the movie) and hearing all the music and watching the dancing, the staff gets distracted and Tulsi (the body double!) manages to escape!
After the shoot, all the Shootout actors were given gifts from Ekta and food that had been cooked at home was served as Tusshar does not eat outside food. It sure pays to be the producer's brother!
