'Bellies' Of The Ball: Manav Gangwani, Raveena Tandon and Karan Johar

Karan Johar and Raveena Tandon (hiding a very visible baby bump) were the big attendees at Delhi-based designer Manav Gangwani's fashion show in Mumbai on Monday evening.

His cousins Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan, who also launched their new album, Passion, provided the music.

Other guests included Jackie Shroff, Rakshanda Khan, Helen Brody (who's back in town after a long hiatus) and Shveta Salve with fianc Rodney Barnes.

Firing 'Squat': Anupama Verma gets ready to strike a pose

Post her Bigg Boss stint, model-actor Anupama Varma is back in the thick of things.

She recently modelled for designer Deepika Gehani's Fall/ Winter 2007 collection called Unleashed, which will be showcased at the upcoming India Fashion Week.

Sexy and chic is what Gehani calls her line, and says that Anupama has been really good in infusing that look into the photographs.

May we add that she's also really good at putting up an act (recall that oh-so-thanda television romance with Aryan Vaid)? Tee hee!

Sunil turns fortuneteller

Sunil Shetty is having the last laugh after Virendra Sehwag scored a century in Monday night's World Cup match against Bermuda.

Last week, Sunil had told us, "Once Sehwag finds his form, everything will fall in place."

That's not all. Shetty had also said that if Saurav Ganguly opens and Sehwag comes at No 3 or 4 followed by Yuvraj Singh, our batting line-up could be one of the strongest.

"(Anil) Kumble, Irrfan (Pathan), Zaheer (Khan) and Munaf (Patel) need to be brought in too, while the rest can remain the same," he had said.

When we called Shetty anna to tell him that his predictions had come true, he grinned and said, "See, I am better than our coach, Greg Chappell!

If we play with this kind of team, we will have a very strong batting line-up.

Dada opened the match and Yuvraj came at No 4 while Rahul and Sachin anchored. Sachin made 55 runs off 22 balls.

I'm telling you, our batting line-up can rip any team apart. We are giants!"

After two successful films (Guru and Dhoom:2) in 2006, Aishwarya Rai wants to ensure that 2007 belongs to her.

And so she's been busy checking out promos of Ashutosh Gowariker's Jodha Akbar in the editing suite.

An insider reveals that the director has zeroed in on two particular teasers: one, which opens with Hrithik Roshan as Akbar, and the other with Ash as Jodha.

The director is having trouble choosing which trailer to go with, and we're told Ash has been pushing him to go with the one featuring her first.

Frankly, we think there's nothing wrong with that. Why fault Ash for wanting to ensure that Roshan doesn't steal all the limelight from her like he did in D:2?

After all, the nation (and us) is still drooling over Mr A! Totally justified, girl!

Honeymoon surprise

Spa Surprise: Rajshri Thakur with husband Sanjot Vaidya

A few months after marriage, when time finally permitted, Rajshri Thakur thought she was off to Kerala for her honeymoon with husband Sanjot Vaidya.

But the actress was happily stunned when Sanjot showed her two tickets to Mauritius instead.

Not only was Rajshri thrilled, we're told she fell in love with her hubby all over again (aww)!

Rajshri has now returned and will resume work shortly.

L'Officiel editor Suparna Motwane and her husband Gaurav hosted a party for Yash and Avanti Birla to celebrate the magazine's March cover.

Titled 'The Princess and The Rockstar', the cover story has an interview with the couple, along with some very stylised photos.

We are told this is one of the most talked-about issues of the magazine.

Spotted at the party held at Suparna's South Mumbai home were Sonali and Goldie Behl, Aarti and Kailash Surendranath, Karisma and Sunjay Kapur (also Suparna's brother), among several others.
