London: Actor Akshay Kumar is all set for his latest release Namastey London which will hit the box office this week. CNN-IBN caught up with the actor in London as he spilled the beans on what the movie is all about.

Akanksha Banerji: Akshay, you have shot for several films in London. Last year you almost spent three months here. London has almost become like second home for you?

Akshay Kumar: Yes, I was on the verge of buying a house in London.

Akanksha Banerji: So, how was shooting in London?

Akshay Kumar: It has been great pleasure working in London. When I was here last time for Namastey London there were only three Indians in the entire crew – producer, the director and me. The rest of the crew was from England even the heroine as Katrina Kaif is also from London.

Akanksha Banerji: The character in your film is that of a Punjabi boy who meets this British brat. It's the usual East vs West theme. What makes this movie different?

Akshay Kumar: For me Namastey London is about being comfortable with who you are and your roots. It's also about being proud the country that you belong to. One should not change his culture just because you are in a different country. The movie is all about not forgetting your roots. The film is a real story and it happened to a friend of mine.

Akanksha Banerji: What's next up for you? Which are the other films you are working on?

Akshay Kumar: I like to do different roles. The next film that I am doing is called Bhool Bhulaiya which is a psychological thriller. The film is the first of its kind to be made in India. Nobody has tried a psychological thriller with humour in it before and it's again me and Priyadarshan doing it.

I am also doing a film by Nagesh Kukunoor and it's called Eight by Ten. So, no more films in which I have a gun in one hand and a girl in the other.

From the promos, it looks like Humko Deewana Kar Gaye Part 2. The story doesn't sound like anything new. HDKG wasn't either but it was an entertaining film.

Cool, didn't know Akshay was acting in a Nagesh Kuknoor film. And not surprised he's acting in another Priyadarshan film. People keep saying that KJo repeats actors in his movies. Well, he's not the only director/producer who repeats his favorites. 😉 😆

yeah when i saw the promos of Namstey london and read the review that Aksahy marry Katrina. I was like humko deewana kar gaye part two.

It cuming out on 23rd March. Can't wait.
