Umm,how many hits have been Madhuri's solo hits??All her hits have been with Anil Kapoor who was the numero uno star then,or Salman/Aamir/SRK/Jackie Shroff/Sanjay Dutt..Her ONLY hit with a not so popular hero was Raja(where she starred opposite Sanjay Kapoor)

Sorry to say,Rani cannot fill in Madhuri's shoes..Rani has been in tinseltown for the past 11 years,and she hasnt done it yet,there's no chance she would do it in future.Rani cannot be considered to be a legend(which Madhuri is)Rani is no match to Madhuri in the looks and acting department,and she fell flat on her face when she tried to d a Madhuri at filmfare when she danced to "didi tera devar deewana"...

I didn't wanna divert frm the topic ... but i thought i should express my opinion.

I think Rani has come a reallly long way from where she started. It is absolutely falderal if you say she hasn't done it yet. She has been clearing away all the awards for best actress best supporting actress for the past 2 yrs..
She has made a mark for herself seriously. She is already considered the top heroine in recent times.

Lets not question her acting coz its seriously makes us look stupid. she has proven herself again and again with Yuva, black,veerzaara.. Do i need to say more ?

Abt dancing, well Rani is a trained classical dancer but yeah, she might not have the aura of Madhuri. anway, dancing was never Rani's usp But she IS a good dancer. Much better than some of the recent time actresses.

And not only Rani but anyone would fall FLAT on their faces if they tried attempting a madhuri number.

In terms of looks, Madhuri beats everyone. no doubt. But then again, Rani's simplicity and her "girl-next-door" image is also appreciated by the alot.

But i agree with you abt one thing. Rani can't take Madhuri's place. The same way Madhuri can't take Sri devi's place and Sri devi can't take rekha's place. There is no comparison or competition between the two coz they belong to totally different eras of cinema.

Abt Vidya Balan, Yes i am a great fan of hers. But no, she is nothing like madhuri. And i don't even think Vidya can dance or as a matter of fact, anyone can dance as good as Madhuri. Honestly, i've never seen Vidya dancing before. Vidya is gorgeous but nothing like Madhuri.

Actually its otherwise. More like Madhuri gave Anil Kapoor Jackie sanjay hits.. rather than they gave her. Think Khalnayank and the first thing u rmbr is madhuri's choli ke peeche dancing... Think Tezaab and think Madhuri's ek do teen. Think Beta and think Dhak Dhak.. She helped the prospects of the movies with her dance moves !

What I think is, they look similar because of that particular picture. They both have worn a bengali style saree, thus the resemblance. Nevertheless, both are very beautiful in their own ways, Madhuri has been the best dancer we've ever had... but Vidya hasn't proven that yet. In acting, I wudn't say Madhuri is better than Rani. Vidya hasn't had much movies to prove herself yet, so I can't really comment on her acting. But Rani is a way better in acting than Madhuri ever was.

well Vidya reminds me more of Manisha Koirala, than of Madhuri! But yeah manisha reminds me of Madhuri, so it's quite possible

Yes you're right...both of them are wearing similar outfits. ANd both are beautiful in their own ways. They both have grace. But you are right, Madhuri is the best dancer...we've seen. So it Sridevi. But Vidya really hasnt danced in any movies. so we cant really judge...but she's supposed to have many hits in 2007. hopefully, then we will be able to compare them. Maybe Vidya cant beat Madhuri, as no one has been able to (in dancing). Madhuri is a great dancer, absolutly mindblowing. she's a classic, no doubt. But you are also right about the Rani part. Rani's the best. She's a great actress.
