I do not know why did everyone have such exaggerated movements.and body language.It could have been much more subtle...?

now that you mention it i did not even like devdas...and some things in black were unexplained...when i got to watch movies i want to get away from my life but watching black i couldnt wait to get back to my life..

I loved the film BLACK, I didn't think I would but Rani and Amitabh made that film worth a watch, they were amazing in it!!!

i personally thought that little girl ayesha did a faboulous job for her age.

Sanjay leela Bhansali is one of the most overrated directors.Barring his "Khamoshi",I never enjoyed any other film...They were neither classy(a la Parineeta)nor entertaining(a la Dhoom 2 and other yashraj flicks)....He's too pretentious a director,and under the name of "Taking Indian Cinema to a different level altogether",he plainly over indulges and makes pseudo realistic,outlandish and BORING films....Everything is over the top and ostentatious in his films(or lets call it showboats),be it the clothes,the acting,the sets..You name it!!....

Devdas and HDDCS worked ONLY because of SRK and Salman respectively,Black was not a hit,it was only an average runner,and rightfully so..It was a super bore,meant for pseudo connoisseurs...IMO,Big B overacted big time,Rani was horrible(What was the Charlie Chaplin walk for),and Black mirrored SLB's was arrogance,over indulgence and his being awestruck by Big B's persona...

Black is one of the best films ever made if u ask me. It may have been larger than life and perhaps not accepted by all in real life, but for SLB who has always made films aiming B.O success and mass appreciation, Black was really a brave attempt...and successful too...N the performances were brilliant...Amitabh , Rani gave one of their best performances in their career (especially their body language and AB's eyes...man they speak volumes and Rani's expressions speak her words...)while Ayesha, Shehnaz and every one else were fabulous too...It had entertainment in its own way...Love BLACK personally...SLB's best work till date...for a man who did colourful Devdas and HDDCS to bring colors to Black...remarkable.👏

By the way...Black was a hit because it was a low budget film, its not on the collection but that in relation with the cost of the production of the film. and also, the success of Black lies in the acclaim it got and the popular appreciation. I think its a beauty and cant forget the film 👏 👏

I really liked the film 😊
