Allright, Here I am after reading 20 pages , dont know where to start from, specially after having spent all afternoon on reading the post and putting into words my opnion, and then losing the document.. Anyways..
I was, am , and shall always remain a die hard SRK (apart from being his loyal wife that is😉 ) I'll try my best to put forward my opinion in an unbiased manner, but at the end of the day, forgive me if I offend anyone, because that is definately not what i intend to do..
SRK has been on top for a long time now, and he has worked hard to achieve this success. He is one of the few people who have the guts to speak his mind out. If he thinks he is the best, he has every right to do so, because it is an undeniable fact that SRK is the badshah oh bollywood,the heartthrobs of millions of fans worldwide. Yet, I still disagree to the fact that SRK is arrogant. Despite being on top, he has immense respect for legends like Amitabh Bachan , Dilip Kumar etc etc . Has he ever claimed to be better than these people ? No! If an individual puts his heart and soul into his work isn't it only fair for him to expect people to recognize his efforts and praise him?
For some reason, SRK has been portrayed as this pompous, haughty superstar who thinks too much of himself. I dont think so. Very few stars are actually as down to earth as he is. His fans mean the world to him, and he always knows how to make them feel special...never would he have made anybody who has met him feel that he is in anyway a class apart from him.
As far as the filmfare awards go,he was anything but rude... True , his jokes could be viewed as sarcastic and offensive by some, I personally felt that he was trying to entertain the audience by being his usual spontaneous self, and he succeeded in doing so. Witty jokes, sly comments, great comic timing, extrrememly cute.....loved him !👏 Anyone with the least bit of sense of humour would have seen his jokes friendly and harmless. As a host, his wit and style remains unmatched, be it KBC or Filmfare😳
As for the alleged "cold war" with the Bachans, its been blown completely out of proportion by the media. So what if he did DON? He didnt go around begging for the role, the directors thought of him as worthy of it, and he portrayed it wonderfully ! Likewise, he didnt go STAR asking them for a contract with KBC3, they approached him. Why? Because if there was anyone who could replace Amitabh, it was SRK. Yet all the Amitabh fans watched the first episode with an extremely prejudiced approach, programming their minds not to accept anyone else as the KBC host but Big B himself, no matter how good he is !!
To some people, SRK is nothing more than an over rated actor, while to the others,SRK remains the undisputed king of bollywood ........i belong to the latter.😳
